Major Energy & Engg Projects
New Technology – Screw Air Compressors, Atlas
Copco make with inbuilt desiccant dryer (990
CFM, 3nos) were replaced from IR make, Recip Air
Compressors, IHE5. Payback less than 1 year with
improved performance and constant pressure.
 Technology Up gradation – High efficiency (above
85%), Dual Fuel, FO & Natural Gas, Weishaupt
make Boiler burners were replaced in Boilers
(3nos, 5TPH & 1no 10 TPH). Payback 3 months

 Fuel Switch – Briquette fired Boiler , 14 TPH, Forbes
Marshall make has been finalized over FO/LNG fired
boilers. Payback – 1 year. Additional advantage – use of
Green eco friendly fuel.
 New Concept – Power trading through IEX power
exchange under Open access regulation has been
implemented. Savings achieved more than 1 Crore.
 Non Conventional Energy Source – Installation of
50,000 Liter/day @ 80 Deg. Cent. Boiler feed water
Solar heating flat collector based system, Ankur make.

Environment Protection – Dgsets rooms, 3 nos
consist of 12 nos Dgsets ranging 750 kva to 1250
kva were converted into Acoustic rooms,
Cummins make with less 75 db sound level.
 Use of Energy Efficient Motors were identified &
replaced ranging from 50 HP to 120 HP. Payback 1
year.
 Optimization of Electricity Bill –
a. Contract Demand reduction/enhancement.
b. Power Factor Improvement to get 7% rebate
consistently.

Optimization of Gas Bill – Gas bill was regularly
monitored against DNQ limits on quarterly &
yearly basis.
 Flexibility & Optimization – 6 nos x 1250 kva & 2
nos x 1250 kva Dgsets, Cummins make were
synchronized to achieve good load factor, Unit-
Fuel ratio & standby power availability.
 Flexibility & Optimization – Plant water Chillers
were interconnected to optimum use of Chillers
to get optimize energy bill to avoid season and
capacity effect.
