MAN Truck & Bus AG is a German manufacturer of commercial vehicles headquartered in Munich. It was formerly known as MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG and MAN Truck & Bus AG. From 1967 to 1977, MAN collaborated with French company Saviem to sell light and medium duty trucks with MAN branding in certain markets. From 1979 to 1993, MAN had a similar collaboration with Volkswagen, producing a truck based on the Volkswagen LT that sold over 72,000 units. The MAN-VW collaboration agreement saw Volkswagen responsible for components like the cab and interior, while MAN focused on the engine, frame, brakes, and other parts.
