This document discusses space debris and approaches to addressing it. It notes that there are currently over 23,000 tracked pieces of space debris and over 750,000 debris pieces between 1-10 cm in size. The document outlines secondary research on current policies, guidelines, and case studies related to space debris and the space industry. It also describes primary research activities that were conducted including workshops with kids and professionals to generate ideas on dealing with past, present, and future space debris through scenario-based exercises. Some of the ideas generated included disallowing satellites in certain orbits in the past, using nets to capture debris now, and developing artificial gases or waves to carry out future communication functions.
