How old are you?
The reason I have asked this
question in my questionnaire is
because it will allow me to look at
what my target audience thought
about the genre indie/rock. As you
can see, the majority of people I
have asked are between the ages of
13 and 18. This is because this age
is around my target audience, and if
I asked anyone a lot older, then the
results would probably be a lot
different, and so wouldn’t be very
valuable because they wouldn’t
help me when I come to construct
my music magazine.
What is your gender?
Male-9
Female-11
The reason I asked this question is because it will allow me to see what
both genders think about music magazines, which will consequently
give me a wider view of what is good and bad about music magazines.
As you can see I have got a mixture of results from both genders, which
will mean that I will created my magazine that is suitable for both male
and female.

The two graphs above will help me because they will help me to decide what I
will include and exclude from my magazine to satisfy my target audience. For
example, from the results on the “Like” graph I can see that I should consider
including reviews, band information, interviews and general music information
when creating my magazine. The graph emphasises that I should consider
excluding advertisements from my magazine.

have a wider choice of

This question will be usual
for my magazine as it will
help me to generate a
house style for my font
which will attract my
target audience. As you
can see on the graph, the
second font is more
popular with my target
audience, so I may
possibly consider this font
when creating my music
magazine.
Do you listen to indie/rock?
Yes-14
No-6
This question will help me, because for
the people who have said no in this
question, I might not take all of their
views into account, because I think it
would be better to ask people
questions about the music genre
indie/rock, who actually have an
interest in it, because it will make my
questionnaire more accurate.

like to see advertised in
magazines are mostly
free tickets, and the free

Would you like to have the chance to enter prize draws if you
bought a magazine?
Yes-18
No-2
This question is good as it stresses that most of
my target audience would want the chance to be
entered into a prize draw if they bought a
magazine. Since 18 out of 20 people said they
would want to have that chance and only two
wouldn’t, I could use this information to suggest
that the majority of my target audience would
want to be able to enter a prize draw, which may
make me decide to put something into the
magazine which gives the buyer that opportunity
to be entered into a prize draw.
