Mat 1:1 The Genealogy of Jesus
The book of the generation of Jesus
Christ, the son of David, the son of
Abraham.
• Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God
would make the Gentiles righteous by faith,
preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham,
when it says: In you shall all the nations be
blessed.
• Gen 12:1
• Now Yahweh had said to Abram, Get you out of
your country, and from your relatives, and from
your father’s house, to the land that I will show
you.
• Gen 12:2 I will make of you a great nation. I will
bless you and make your name great. You will be
a blessing.
• Gen 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and I
will curse him who curses you. All of the families
of the earth will be blessed in you.
• - Blessing
• - Become a great nation
• Gen 17:8 I will give to you, and to your seed
after you, the land in which you are travelling,
all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting
possession. I will be their God.
• Eternal life
• Eternal inheritance of the earth
• Personal relationship with God
• Gen 22:17 that I will bless you greatly, and I
will multiply your seed greatly like the stars of
the sky, and like the sand which is on the
seashore. Your seed will possess the gate of
his enemies.
• Gen 22:18 In your seed will all the nations of
the earth be blessed, because you have
obeyed My voice.
• Act 3:25 You are the sons of the prophets,
and of the covenant which God made with
your fathers, saying to Abraham: And in your
descendant shall all the families of the earth
be blessed.
• Act 3:26 To you first, God, having raised up
His servant, sent him to bless you, in turning
every one of you away from your sins.
• Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham were the promises
spoken, and to his seed. He did not say: And
to seeds, in the plural, but in the singular: And
to your seed, who is Christ!
• Gal 3:27 For as many of you who were baptized
into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
• Gal 3:28 There can be neither Jew nor Gentile,
there can be neither slave nor free, there can be
no male and female- for you all are one in Christ
Jesus.
• Gal 3:29 And if you are Christ's, then you are
Abraham's seed, and the heirs according to the
promise!
• Heb 11:8 Abraham and Sarah
By faith Abraham, when he was called,
obeyed, and left for a place which he was to
receive for an inheritance afterwards. And he
left not knowing where he was going to.
• Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having
received the promises, but having seen them,
and greeted them from afar, and having
confessed that they were strangers and
pilgrims on the earth.
• Heb 11:39 And these all, having had witness
borne to them through their faith, did not
receive the fulfilment of the promise;
• Heb 11:40 God having provided some better
thing involving us, that without us they should
not be made perfect.
• Psa 146:3 Don’t put your trust in princes,
each merely a son of man in whom there is no
help.
• Psa 146:4 His spirit departs, and he returns to
the dust. In that very day, his thoughts perish.
• Ecc 3:18 I said in my heart, As for the sons of
men, God tests them, so that they may see that
they themselves are like animals.
• Ecc 3:19 For that which happens to the sons of
men happens to animals. Even one thing happens
to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes,
they have all one breath; and man has no
advantage over the animals: for all is vanity.
• Ecc 3:20 All go to one place. All are from the
dust, and all turn to dust again.
• Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead don’t know anything, neither do
they have any more a reward; for their
memory is forgotten.
• Ecc 9:6 Also their love, their hatred, and their
envy has perished long ago; neither have they
any more a portion forever in anything that is
done under the sun.
• Ecc 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as
it was
• “You shall not surely die…”
• Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face will you
eat bread until you return to the ground, for
out of it you were taken. For you are dust, and
to dust you shall return.
• from which we also eagerly wait for the
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,
• Php 3:21 who will transform our lowly body
that it may be conformed to his glorious body,
according to the working by which he is able
even to subdue all things to himself.
• 1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the
image of the heavenly.
• 1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God. Neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
• 1Co 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all remain asleep, but we
shall all be changed,
• 1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the
trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed.
• 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must
put on immortality.
• 1Co 15:54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to fulfilment the saying
that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.
• 1Co 15:55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?
• 1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
• 1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ.
• 1Co 15:58 Therefore my beloved brothers, be steadfast, unmoveable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour in the Lord is not in
vain.
• 1Sa 2:6 Yahweh kills and makes alive; He
brings down to Sheol and raises up.
• Jon 2:2 He said, I called because of my
affliction to Yahweh and He answered me. Out
of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my
voice,
• Act 2:27 because You will not leave my soul in
the grave, neither will You allow Your Holy
One to see corruption.
• Mar 16:15 And he said to them: You are to go
into all the world and preach the gospel to the
whole creation.
• Mar 16:16 He that believes and is baptized
shall be saved, but he that disbelieves shall be
condemned.
• Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him: Truly,
truly, I say to you: Except one be born anew, he
cannot see the kingdom of God.
• Joh 3:4 Nicodemus said to him: How can a man
be born when he is old? Can he enter a second
time into his mother's womb and be born?
• Joh 3:5 Jesus answered: Truly, truly, I say to you:
Except one is born of water and the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God!
• Act 8:36 And as they went along the road, they came
upon some water; and the eunuch said: Look, water!
What is stopping me from being baptized?
• Act 8:37 And Philip said: If you believe with all your
heart, you may. And he answered and said: I believe
that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
• Act 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and
they both went down into the water, Philip and the
eunuch, and he baptized him.
• Act 8:39 And when they came up out of the water, the
Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, and the eunuch
saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.
• 1Co 10:1 Brothers, I would not have you
ignorant that our fathers were all under the
cloud and all passed through the sea,
• 1Co 10:2 and were all baptized into Moses in
the cloud and in the sea.
• Luk 1:30 And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary. For you
have found favour with God.
• Luk 1:31 And you shall conceive in your womb and bring
forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus.
• Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of
the Most High, and the Lord God shall give to him the
throne of his ancestor David.
• Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for
ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
• Luk 1:34 And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be,
seeing I do not know a man?
• Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her: The Holy
Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High
shall overshadow you. Therefore also the holy thing which
is begotten within you shall be called the Son of God.
• Heb 2:14 Since then the children are sharers in flesh and
blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same
nature; so that through his death he might bring to
nothing him that had the power of death, that is, the
Devil;
• Heb 2:15 and might deliver all those who through fear of
death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
• Heb 2:16 For truly not to angels does he take hold in
association; but he took hold of the seed of Abraham.
• Heb 2:17 Therefore in all things he had to be made like
his brothers, so that he might be a merciful and faithful
High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make
propitiation for the sins of the people.
• Heb 2:18 For because he himself suffered when
tempted, he is able to succour those who are being
tempted.
• Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who
cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one
who has been tempted in all things, yet did not
sin.
• Heb 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with
boldness to the throne of grace, that we may
receive mercy and may find grace to help us in
our time of need.
• Jas 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted: I
am tempted by God. For God cannot be
tempted with evil, and He tempts no one.
• Jas 1:14 But each man is tempted, when he is
dragged away by his own lust and enticed.
• Jas 1:15 Then the lust, when it has conceived,
carries sin; and the sin, when it is fully grown,
brings death.
• Joh 5:19 Jesus therefore answered and said to
them: Truly, truly, I say to you: The Son can do
nothing of himself but only what he sees the
Father doing. For whatever works He does,
these the Son does in like manner.
• Joh 5:30 I can of myself do nothing. As I hear,
I judge; and my judgment is righteous,
because I seek not my own will, but the will of
Him that sent me.
• Joh 14:28 You heard how I said to you: I go
away and I come to you. If you loved me, you
would have rejoiced because I go to the
Father. For the Father is greater than I.
• Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour, Jesus
cried with a loud voice: Eli, Eli, lama
sabachthani? That is, My God, my God, why
have you forsaken me?
