  MAIN OBJECTIVE High schoolstudents, grades 9-12, will actively listen to, describe, and critically review music in the operatic style through exposure, group activity, and presentation with 100% accuracy in one week.

  Day by DayBreakdown Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday • Introduction, first video example and response • Listening examples and response • History of the art, video example, making connections group activity • Video/listening example, discussion in groups, individual critical review • Presentation based on the weeks activities
• 5.
  Use of Technology Studentswill be exposed to opera through technological mediums familiar to them, primarily ITunes and YouTube. They will be encouraged to keep their activities on a digital format, or flash drive to make assembling a presentation more simple. Finally the presentation to the class will be assembled on PowerPoint.
