Create Your First PowerPoint (Tutorial)

- 9. NOW create your first presentation!
- 10. OPEN POWERPOINT FROM YOUR DESKTOP
- 12. It should look like this!
- 13. LEAVE IT PLAIN OR CHOOSE FROM PREMADE DESIGNS
- 14. Click on "Click to add Title" to edit your topic
- 15. Add a subtitle too if you want!
- 16. GO TO HOME AND CLICK "NEW SLIDE"
- 17. Start adding first topic!
- 19. To create a table, go to "Insert" You may insert table or draw table
- 20. Insert table should look like this.
- 21. Click and hold the bottom right circle on the table. Drag to desired size.
- 22. TYPE IN THE CONTENT AND IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS.
- 23. To add picture, go to new slide and click "picture with caption"
- 24. CLICK THE ICON TO ADD PICTURE
- 25. Go to folder and choose photo
- 26. CLICK INSERT
- 27. Then add caption as needed
- 28. CLICK "SECTION HEADER" TO ADD NEW SECTION
- 29. Add new title
- 30. Change font
- 31. Click and drag cursor through text to select
- 32. Scroll through and choose desired font
- 33. To increase or decrease font size
- 34. Click and drag cursor through text choose increase A or decrease A
- 35. Make text bold
- 36. Click and drag cursor through text and click B
- 37. Italicize text
- 38. Click and drag cursor through text and click "I"
- 39. Underline text
- 40. Click and drag cursor through text and click "U"

- 44. Hover cursor through the icons (and click) to add picture, chart, etc. Add text
- 45. To change listing option click on numeration

- 51. Switch between transitions to find preferred
- 52. Adjust timing of transitions to your liking Click upper arrow to prolong, Click lower arrow to delay

- 56. A "+" should appear on you screen The plus sign is your cursor

- 66. "Entrance" are for when the image or first text appears
- 67. "Emphasis" is for effect while the image or text is on screen
- 68. "Exit" is for when the image or text dissappears
- 69. Click "preview" to see how you animation plays when presented
- 70. The numbers on the image/text is the order of appearance First First Second Second
- 71. To change order of animation
- 72. First, click your text or image
- 73. Click "Move later" to rearrange image as second
- 74. Or click text
- 75. Select "Move earlier" to rearrange image as first
- 76. Click "Preview" to view rearranged order
- 77. To change time duration of animation
- 78. First, click the text/image
- 79. To lengthen or shorten time of animation, adjust "Duration"
- 80. To play animation after a certain amount of seconds, adjust "Delay"
- 81. Add a video
- 82. Go to "Insert"
- 83. Click "Video"
- 85. Paste the URL of chosen video
- 86. Click "Insert"
- 87. Resize and drag video as needed
- 88. For local video, click on "Video on My PC"
- 90. Click "Insert"
- 92. Go to "Slide Show"
- 94. Your slide will be in full screen
- 95. Click on slide to go to next slide
- 96. Press "Esc" to exit and now let's save you PowerPoint
- 97. Go to "File"
- 98. Click on "Save As"
- 99. Click "Browse"
- 100. Choose folder and click "Save"
