INTRODUCTION
The creation of the universe is one of the sign of
existence of Allah as the Absolute Creator. The
creation of the universe has been revealed in the
Qur'an 1400 years ago, but scientist only found in the
19th century. They named the discovery BIG BANG
THEORY. Scientist conclude that universe began
with the cosmic explosion. However they did not
believe this is all happened in the wills of Allah. They
believed that the universe happen with no purpose.

WHAT IS THE UNIVERSE??

All living things and non-living things that are created by
Allah

“He is God, the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Formed. To
him belongs the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the
heavens and earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the
Wise” (Surah Al-Hashr, 59:24)

Universe created with purpose

According to science, universe commonly defined as the totality
of everything that exists including all matter and energy, the
planets, stars, galaxies, and the contents of intergalactic space.

BIG BANG THEORY

This theory stated that the universe was created from
nothing

In the very beginning, the whole universe was initially one
super massive point (primary nebula)

The entire universe was confined to a hot, the super massive
point with infinite density and zero time.
 Then, the massive point exploded, which result in the
formation of :
 Galaxies
 Expanding and form star, sun, other planets
 The existing of helium gas, radiation ray support
theory of big bang

- “He (God) is the Originator of the heavens and the
earth…” (Quran 6:101)
- “Is not He who created the heavens and the earth
Able to create the likes of them? Yes; and He is the
Knowing Creator. His command is only when He
intends a thing that He says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”
(Quran 36:81-82)

- The above verses prove that the universe had a
beginning, that Allah was behind its creation, and
all that Allah needs to do in order to create is to say
“Be,” and it is

In the Qur'an :
‫بديعو لالسمحاولاتو ولال ٌةَرضو أٌةَنىو يكنونو لهو ولدو ولمو تك نو لهو صحاحبةو‬
ٌ ‫َّ ٌةَ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ ت ْ ت ْ بِ َّ َي ٰ ٌةَ َص ُ َص ُ ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ ٌةَ و ٌ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ َص ُ َّ َص ُ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ و‬ ُ ‫ٌةَ بِ َص‬
َ‫ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌة‬
‫وخلق‬

‫كلَش شيءو وهنوو بكلو شيءو علميمو‬
ٌ ‫َص ُ َّ ٌةَ ت ْ ع ٍ ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ بِ َص ُ ِّ ٌةَ ت ْ ع ٍ ٌةَ بِ و‬

"He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth.” (Surah Al-
An’am, 6:101)

This information given in the Qur'an is in full agreement with the
findings of contemporary science. The conclusion that astrophysics
has reached today is that the entire universe, together with the
dimensions of matter and time, came into existence as a result of a
great explosion that occurred in no time.

NOTHING

GREAT EXPLOSION

In science :

Before the Big Bang, there was no such thing as
matter. From a condition of non-existence in
which neither matter, nor energy, nor even time
existed, and which can only be described
metaphysically, matter, energy, and time were
all created. This fact, only recently discovered by
modern physics, BUT was already written in the
Qur'an 1,400 years ago.

THE PRIOR FORMATION OF GALAXIES
In the Qur'an:

‫ثمو لاستنوىو إبِلىو لالسمحاءو وهيو دخحانو فقحالو لهحاو‬
َ‫َّ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ و ٌ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌة‬ َ‫َص ُ َّ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ َي ٰ ٌة‬
َ‫ولل ٌةَرضو لائتميحاو طنوعحاو أٌةَوو كرهحاَش قحالتحاو أٌةَتمينحاو طحائعمي نٌة‬
ِ‫ٌةَ بِ ت ْ ت ْ بِ ت ْ بِ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ اً ت ْ ٌةَ ت ْ اً ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ بِ ب‬
“ moreover He comprehended His design in sky, and it has been
(as) smoke; He said to it and to the earth: 'come together
willingly or unwillingly. They said: ' we do come (together) in
willingly Obedience ” (41:11)

In scientific:

The science of modern cosmology, observational and
theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time,
the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of
‘smoke’. This is one of the undisputed principles of
standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can
observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that
‘smoke’

a cloud of gas and
dust, about 60 light
years in diameter. It

THE SPLITTING ASUNDER OF 'THE
HEAVEN AND THE EARTH'
In the Qur'an ;
‫و أٌةَولمو يرو لالذي نو كفرولاو أ ٌةَنو لالسمحاولاتو ولال ٌةَرت ْضو كحانتحاو رتقحا‬
ً‫ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ا‬ ْ ‫َّ ٌةَ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ ت‬ َّ ُ ‫ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ َّ بِ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ َص‬
َ‫ففتقنحاهمحاو وجعلنحاَش م نو لالمحاءو كلو شيءو حيو أ ٌةَفلو يؤمبِننونٌة‬
ُ ‫ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ بِ َص ُ َّ ٌةَ ت ْ ع ٍ ٌةَ ٍّ ٌةَ ٌةَ َص ُ ت ْ َص‬

Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined
together (as one unit of creation), before We clove them asunder,
and We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"
(21:30)
word ratq translated as “join together" means "mixed in each, blended" in
Arabic dictionaries. It is used to refer to two different substances that make up a
whole. The phrase "we clove them asunder" is the verb fataqa in Arabic and
implies that something comes into being by tearing apart or destroying the
structure of ratq.

In scientific
When we remember the
first moments of the Big
Bang, we see that a single
point included all the
matter in the universe.
In other words, everything,
including "the heavens and
earth" which were not
created yet, were included
in this point in a condition
of ratq. This point exploded
violently, causing its matter
to fataqa and in the process
created the structure of the
whole universe.

THE EXPANSION OF THE UNIVERSE
In the Qur'an:

َ‫ٌةَ َّ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ ت ْ ع ٍ ٌةَ َّ ٌةَ َص ُ بِ َص ُ ٌة‬
‫ولالسمحاءو بنمينحاهحاو بأيدو وإ بِنحاو لمنوسعنون‬

“ And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are
makers of things ample” (51:47)


The arabic word 'musi'un' is translated as 'expanding' thus indicating to

the creation of the expanding vastness of the universe

In scientific:
- At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian physicist,
cosmologist theoretically calculated that the universe is constant
motion and expansion

- In 1925, the American astronomer provided observational evidence
that all galaxies are receding from one another

- In 1929. While observing the sky with a telescope, Edwin Hubble, the
American astronomer, discovered that the stars and galaxies were
constantly moving away from each other

- Stephen Hawking in his book “A Book History of Time, says, “
The Discovery that the universe is the expanding was one of the
Great intellectual revolutions of 20th century

From the moment of the big bang, the universe
has been constantly expanding at a great speed.
Scientists compare the expanding universe to
the surface of a balloon that is inflated

THE SPHERICAL SHAPE OF THE EARTH
In the Qur'an:
‫أ ٌةَلمو ترو أٌةَنو لاللهو ينولجو لاللَّميت ْلو فيو لالنهحارو وينولجو لالنهحارو فيو‬
ِ‫َّ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ َص ُ بِ َص ُ َّ ٌةَ ٌةَ ب‬ ِ‫ٌةَ ب‬ ُ ‫ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ َّ َّ ٌةَ َص ُ بِ َص‬
‫لاللميلو وسخرو لالشمسَش ولالقمرو كلو يجر يو إ بِلىو أ ٌةَجلو‬
ٍ ‫ٌةَ َي ٰ ٌةَ ع‬ ِ‫َّ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ َص ُ ٌّ ٌةَ ت ْ ب‬ َ‫َّ ت ْ بِ ٌةَ ٌةَ َّ ٌة‬
‫مسمىو وأٌةَنو لاللهو بمحاو تعملنونو خبمير‬
ٌ ‫ٌةَ َّ َّ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ ٌةَ بِ و‬ ًّ‫ّ ٌةَ ى‬

“Do you not see that Allah merges night into day and He
merges day into night: that He has subjected the sun and the
moon (to His law), each running its course for a term
appointed; and that Allah is Aware of what you do?” (31:29)

'Merging' means that night and day slowly and gradually
change vice versa. This phenomenon can only occur if the
earth is sphere. If the earth flat, there would be sudden
change day and night.

‫ولال ٌةَرضو بعدو َذلكو دٌةَححاهحا‬
َ‫ٌةَ ت ْ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةََي ٰ بِ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌة‬

And the earth, moreover, hath He made egg shaped (79:30)

“dhaha” which mean ostrich egg

‫خلقو لالسمحاولاتو ولال ٌةَرضو بحالحقو يكنورو لاللميلو علىو لالنهحارو‬
ِ‫َّ ٌةَ ب‬ َ‫َّ ٌةَ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ ت ْ ت ْ ٌةَ بِ ت ْ ٌةَ ِّ َص ُ ٌةَ ِّ َص ُ َّ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌة‬ َ‫ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌة‬
‫ويكنورو لالنهحارَش عٌةَلىو لاللميلو وسٌةَخرو لالشمسو ولالقمرو كلو‬
ٌّ ُ ‫َّ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌةَ َص‬ َ‫َّ ت ْ بِ ٌةَ َّ ٌة‬ َ‫ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ ِّ َص ُ َّ ٌةَ ٌةَ ٌة‬
‫َش يجر يو ل ٌةَجلو مسمىو أٌةَلو هنوو لالعزيزلالغفحار‬
ُ ‫ٌةَ َص ُ ٌةَ ت ْ ٌةَ بِ َص ُ ت ْ ٌةَ َّ َص‬ ًّ‫ٌةَ ت ْ بِ بِ ٌةَ ع ٍ ّ ٌةَ ى‬
"He has created the Heavens and the Earth for Truth. He
wraps the night up in the day, and wraps the day up in the
night.“(39:5)

“to wrap" in the above verse is "takwir". In English, it means
"to make one thing lap over another, folded up as a garment
that is laid away". In Arabic dictionaries this word is used for
the action of wrapping one thing around another, in the way
that a turban is put on.

In scientific:


In early times people theory that the earth is flat.

For centuries, men were afraid to venture out too
far, they should fall off the edge.

-Sir Francis Drake was the first person who
proved that the earth is spherical when he sailed
around 1597

ِ‫ولالسمحاءو َذلاتو لالرجعب‬
ْ ‫ٌةَ َّ ٌةَ بِ ٌةَ بِ َّ ت‬
"By Heaven with its cyclical systems.“ (86:11)
- "cyclical" means "sending back" or "returning".

 The presence of water
is essential for life on
Earth. One of the factors
acting in the formation of
water is the Troposphere,
one of the layers of the
atmosphere. The
troposphere layer enables
water vapour rising from
the surface of the Earth to
be condensed and turn
back down to the Earth as
rain.

 The atmosphere
layer that blocks the
rays that might be fatal
to life on Earth is the
Ozonosphere. The
Ozonosphere turns
harmful cosmic rays
like ultraviolet back to
space, hence preventing
them from reaching the
Earth and harming life.

 Each layer of the
atmosphere has beneficial
attributes for human
beings. The Ionosphere
layer, one of the upper
layers of the atmosphere,
for example, reflects radio
waves broadcast from a
certain centre back down
to the Earth, thus
enabling broadcasts to be
received from long
distances.

Through this presentation, we know that any scientific
discovery by men is attribute from the guidance of Allah.
Besides, people will be amazed by Allah’s power in
creating this universe.
We also study that universe and all living things are
created by Allah with purpose. All thing created by Allah
will bow and prostrate to submit themselves to The
Creator.
