Depending on the elements used of an oscillator, the types of oscillator are: RC oscillator: feedback network contains RC circuits only. LC oscillator: feedback network contains LC circuits only Crystal oscillator: use piezoelectric crystal material. Other types of oscillators are- Sinusoidal Oscillator: If the output signal of an oscillator circuit varies sinusodally. Pulse or Square-Wave Oscillator: If the output voltages of an oscillator circuit rises quickly to one voltage level and later drops quickly to another voltage level, the circuit is generally referred to as a pulse or square-wave oscillator.
