The Experiential Leadership Development phase allows
young people to explore and develop their leadership
potential through different programmes.

 increases awareness about, other cultures and
world affairs, seeking opinions, and ideas from
diverse sources;
 enlarge personal & professional network by
interacting with people of diverse cultures and
backgrounds;
 Work effectively with individuals of diverse
cultures, styles and abilities,
 openness and flexibility towards differences in
opinion
 Scans environment, looking out for challenges and
opportunities
 Comes up with innovative ideas/ solutions/ approaches in order
to increase performance (of self/others/organization)
 Achieves results by managing resources (material and personal)
 Works to achieve goal in spite of barriers or difficulties; actively
works to overcome obstacles by changing strategies, increasing
efforts, using multiple approaches, etc.
 Takes decisions keeping in mind the long-term consequences of present
actions;
 Identifies and acts keeping in mind the bigger picture and how different factors
interconnect and relate to each other;
 Demonstrates personal commitment for tasks and deliverables, and inspires
others to take action/responsibility;

issues;

 Shows ability to empathize and sense others' feelings and perspectives (“put
himself/herself in other’s shoes”);
 Actively listens to others; correctly interprets messages and responds appropriately;
 Communicates about own feelings and emotions and takes responsibility to manage
them;
 Demonstrates consistency in speech, responses and actions (“walk your own talk”);
 Establishes good interpersonal relationships by helping people feel valued,
appreciated, supported and involved.
 Be aware of his/ her own strengths and capitalizes on these in various activities;
 Seeks and uses feedback and other sources of information to identify appropriate
areas for own development, and sets development goals to work on these areas;
 Facilitates development of others by helping them to identify their strengths, and

Team Leader Programme
An opportunity for a young person to develop entrepreneurial and
responsible leadership through leading and guiding others in their work and
experience at a local, national, regional or global level.

Personal and professional development
Practical hard and soft skills development
Activities which develop an entrepreneurial and responsible attitude towards being
a better leader
TLP participants can have different types of team-based leadership experiences
such as leading a team or acting as a part of the executive leadership body of an
entity.
Global Internship Programme
An opportunity for a young person to develop entrepreneurial and
responsible leadership by living a cross-cultural professional development
experience.
How do we run this programme?
We provide an internship in a host organization, through which a young person
contributes to the goals of the organization, completes a job description
requiring special expertise or skills, and receives supervision and evaluation on
his or her professional development.
What can a young person gain through this programme?
With this programme, a young person gains access to AIESEC’s value-based
platform, and he or she experiences:
A professional development experience
A cross-cultural living and working experience
GIP participants can have different types of internship experiences as long as their
role and supervision clearly contribute to their professional development.
What can an organization gain through this programme?
GIP hosts are organizations that support AIESEC’s values and want to enhance
their organization through involving global top talent, improving their processes or
growing their organizational goals. With them, we co-create opportunities for
young people to work, learn and contribute to the organization's goals.
Global Community Development Programme
A Global Community Development Programme (GCDP) experience is an
opportunity for young people to develop entrepreneurial and responsible
leadership by creating direct positive impact through an international
volunteer experience.
How do we run this programme?
We provide international volunteer experiences through which young people
develop themselves while empowering individuals, communities or
organizations. We focus on areas and issues with the need for direct social
impact and sustainable solutions.
What can an organization gain from this programme?
GCDP hosts and partners are organizations which aim to create or support direct
positive impact in communities through their activities, initiatives, or projects.
With these organizations, we co-create opportunities for young people to develop
themselves while providing direct positive impact.
What can a young person gain through this programme?
With this programme, a young person gains access to AIESEC’s value-based
platform, and he or she experiences:
A cross-cultural living and working experience
The opportunity to create positive societal impact
Personal development
GCDP participants can have different types of volunteer experiences. They may
work with organizations or in projects which focus on community development, as
long as their experience contributes to their personal development and positive
impact on society.
