Most pollutants are emitted both by natural as well as by anthropogenic sources. Natural sources are not influenced by humans or by human-induced activities. Volcanoes are a good example of this type of source. Many emissions are biogenic, i.e., produced by living organisms, but these emissions are very often influenced by human’s activities. Nitrous oxide (N2O) is a greenhouse gas that is for a large part emitted during nitrification and de-nitrification processes (the conversion of ammonium to nitrate and of nitrate to N2O and ammonium respectively), which take place in the soil. The largest N2O emissions are observed where nitrogen-containing fertilizer is applied in agriculture. The ratio between anthropogenic and natural emissions is very important, as only the anthropogenic portion can be influenced, e.g., by abatement measures. A good example is provided by abatement measures for photochemical smog, with ozone and peroxyacyl nitrates (PAN) as important secondary products. Photochemical smog is caused by nitrogen oxide (NOx) and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. Therefore, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) decided, some 20 years ago, to combat photochemical smog in the U.S. by stringent reduction of VOC emissions and to a lesser extent, reduction of NOx; however, this policy did not produce the desired results. Natural emissions, especially of terpenes and isoprenes, proved to be so large that sufficient VOC concentrations were available in the atmosphere for oxidant production, despite efforts to limit anthropogenic sources . Pollution from industry was significantly reduced following the Clean Air Acts of 1956 and 1968, but still poses a problem in some areas. The two major pollutants produced by industry are: Sulphur dioxide Nitrogen oxide Sulphur Dioxide Sulphur dioxide is the main pollutant emitted form power stations. In Britain, 90% of sulphur dioxide pollution comes from power stations and other industry. Once in the air, sulphur dioxide mixes with moisture to form sulphuric acid, which will later fall as acid rain Nitrogen Oxides Nitrogen oxides are pollutants that are mainly associated with car exhausts, although some does come from industry. Again, they mix with moisture in the atmosphere and form nitric acid, which then falls as acid rain. Today, industries that emit air pollution must have stacks which release the waste gases into the atmosphere at higher levels, thereby reducing the risk of ground level pollution. Power stations are now also required to reduce their emissions of sulphur dioxide by using specialised emission reduction technology .

Global warming is harming our environment. The Earth has a layer of Greenhouse gases around the edge of the Earth. We can stop this by doing a variety of things. Start recycling, Start walking short distances instead of being lazy and driving. If we don’t cut down then our world will soon be over. Endangered species are becoming more and more higher.
Environment Pollution can take the form of chemical substances, or energy, such as noise, heat, or light energy Substances dumped into a river will often end up in the sea. The biggest pollution problem is global warming. Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the earth's near-surface air and oceans, since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation Scientists are sure about the greenhouse effect. They know that greenhouse gases make the Earth warmer by trapping energy in the atmosphere. The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane, for example) trap energy from the sun Without these gases, heat would escape back into space and Earth’s average temperature would be about 60ºF colder .
Let the pictures do the talking…
There's so much pollution in the air now that if it weren't for our lungs there'd be no place to put it all.  ~Robert Orben
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. "An increasing body of observations gives a collective picture of a warming world and other changes in the climate system." In my view, climate change is the most severe problem that we are facing today -- more serious even than the threat of terrorism." The early signs of climate change are showing up across vastly differing landscapes: from melting outposts near the Arctic Circle to disappearing glaciers high in the Andes; from the rising water in the deltas of Bangladesh to the "sinking" atolls of the Pacific. Do you wont this.
Don't blow it - good planets are hard to find.

You are The Earth. The Earth is dying. You and I are murderers.” !

This Is industrial pollution it is caused by mainly factories it is the gasses that the factories give off into the sky this can also cause smog this is when the pollution cloud comes down from the sky and it covers certain areas of the country. Industrial pollution also can intoxicate our air that we breathe in so it can possibly kill us after a certain amount of years. This can also cause acid rain which will kill off all our plants and trees. The main gasses that industrial pollution gives off are carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide (causes acid rain) and nitrogen oxide.
Go Green .... Or Die Don't blow it- good planets are hard to find.
“ Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting. We allow them to disperse because we've been ignorant of their value.” Global Warming Don't blow it - good planets are hard to find. We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.
