- 3. Project Overview In this section you will outline the aim of the project/task and give an overview of the activates you undertook to complete it.
- 4. What was the theme of your project and what attracted you to it? My project was centered around football mainly the premier league, it hosted questions about who the interviewee thought was the greatest premier league striker. The reason I chose to focus on football is because its not only the career path I want to go on to work in but also one of my biggest interests that I thought I would be able to branch an interview/mini-series from.
- 5. What research did you undertake and how did it help develop your project? The main research I did for my project was watching and analyzing Football documentaries. I watched through the pele documentary, this was useful as it featured a solo interview of pele, this helped give me an idea of how to set the cameras, angles and the sort of lighting and look I want to go for. I also analyzed amazons all or nothing series for both Tottenham and Man City. This helped with inspiration for how to layout the match clips, angle to try and find and the voice overlay mixed with the match clip sound.
- 6. How did you develop and improve your ideas throughout the project? One of the ways I developed and improved my ideas was through viewing other content similar to what I wanted to create, I would try my best to mimic and recreate the ideas I liked from these pieces. Another way I developed my ideas was asking for feedback and suggestion from peers, this allowed me to take on their ideas and criticisms to improve it as well as having a proof viewing of it at intervals so things I had become used to like slight sound inconsistencies were picked up and able to be fixed .
- 7. What was the outcome of the project/task? ⢠The outcome was creating the first episode of a web miniseries which had to be centered around a topic you were interested in and feature an interview from a contributor.

- 9. How did you feel about the project before you started? ⢠I was excited as it was a lot of freedom and it was mainly down to us on what we wanted to create and more or less how we got to produce it.

What do you think about your project development and how did it help you to refine your idea? ⢠I think the planning really helped me to bring my project from an idea to an actuak piece of working. Especially while looking at available clips as this really helped me to narrow down my original plans.
- 11. Did you collaborate on your project or engage contributors, etc? ⢠My only contributor was Antony who let me interview him about his personal choice of who is the greatest premier league forward of all time.
- 12. How did you feel when the project was completed and why? ⢠Honestly, I felt quite proud as I was happy with what I created. I think it was well made and worked well.

- 15. What challenges did you face and how did you respond to them? Try and think of at least 3... ⢠The main challenge for me was not being able to complete the original plan due to contributors no longer being available, I overcame this by just doing a solo interview and focusing the entire video around that one interview. ⢠Another challenge was the mic not working on the day and only having a limited time to film, although we never really overcame this we just used the cameras mic for the audio. This is something I would like to change about the piece

What were the negative points about the experience, and what could you have done to improve them? ⢠The most negative points were interviewees no longer being able to make the recording and the microphone not working on the day which resulted in bad audio. If I had factored in these potential issues I couldve booked a recording earlier on within the time frame so that I was then able to rebook later in the timeframe.

- 18. What is your opinion of your final piece? What elements do you think are successful and why? ⢠I was personally very pleased with my final piece. I think the most succesful element was the interview, I was very happy with how it was shot and looked as well as the answers Antony was able to give.
- 19. How well did your project apply the characteristics and conventions of the medium you worked in? ⢠I think it fit the usual conventions well atleast for the interview aspect. The angles and the set suit the medium well and allows a professional look.
- 20. How did you design appeal to your target audience? ⢠It was heavily oritentated around football. It featured well known players past and present and was centred around a current world star.

- 22. In what ways was the overall project a success? ⢠I think the film was a success as it featured the needed elements and is enjoyable to watch
- 23. What elements did not go well and why? ⢠The audio was my main issue with the piece however this is due to a technical fault rather than an error in planning or production

- 25. What feedback did you get from your peers and viewings? ⢠A lot of the feedback I asked for and received was small improvements for either sound balance and levels aswell as small context additions.
- 26. What would you do differently in the future and why? ⢠Make sure to have a working microphone aswell as try and fit in a second booking for if interviewees can no longer make it.
