Globalization refers to the increasing integration and interdependence of economies, societies, and cultures around the world through cross-border movement of goods, capital, services, technologies and people. It began accelerating in the 16th century through exploration and colonization and was further advanced after World War 2 through the establishment of international institutions like the IMF and World Bank. While globalization has increased access to goods and resources, it has also resulted in negative impacts like job insecurity, exploitation of labor, and pollution especially in developing countries like Pakistan.
