Gray wolf 1
Gray wolves are mammals. They eat
larger animals and smaller animals.
They are carnivores. They usually eat
20 lbs. per meal. That’s about 80
hamburgers. They have sharp teeth and
claws. The gray wolves play tag like us.
They live for six years.
They are canines. They are camouflaged
for sneaking up on prey.
 They live in North America and other
places. They live in plains and
    forests. Plains and forests are
filled with life. Plains are plain and
    forests have many trees.
The most common threats are: people kill
them and conflict over livestock loses. It
means getting killed by farmers because they
are moving onto their land. The greatest
reason is peoples’ fear and misunderstanding
of the species. The people kill them then
scrape their fur off of their body. To help Gray
Wolves, defenders are promoting wolf
recovery throughout their natural ranges. They
helped reintroduce wolves.
 There groups are called packs. The gray
wolves are also known as timber wolves.
They are 130 lbs. There are about
    200,000 in 57 countries. They don’t
attack people. They are born blind. They
    have really good eyesight.
