Green plants have four main living processes: movement, reproduction, nutrition, and growth. Plants need sunlight, air, water, warmth and minerals to grow well. The life cycle of plants includes germination, growth, flowering, pollination, fertilization, and dispersal of seeds. During photosynthesis, plants use carbon dioxide, water and sunlight to produce food and oxygen.

- 9. Fertilisation • Pollen (male sex cell) travels along the style to reach the carpel where the female eggs are stored. • The fertilised egg becomes a seed. Joining of the pollen and the egg to make a seed.
- 10. Dispersal of Seeds 3 ways: • By wind- dandelion seeds are blown away. • By animals- they eat berries the seeds come out in the poo! • By explosion- seed pods dry up then burst. Seeds are carried away from the parent plant to stop overcrowding
