Implementation of Odesseyware Benchmarking and Assessing Student Performance
Program Information and ImplementationLearning Goals and Program EvaluationData Collection and ProcessingEvaluating the ResultsEducational IntegrationPurpose: To deploy an online intervention program designed to remediate identified students and track academic progress.
Odesseyware is a national program that address the requirement to remediate students in identified academic areas through an online interface.Students are required to take a benchmark assessment designed to assess strengths & weaknessTeachers will be trained to integrate technology tool into the classroom for both SE/GE studentsTeachers will be trained to assess and evaluate the data to drive instructionOdesseywareProgram Information & Implementation
Audience: Separate sessions for District Administrators and for TeachersLearning Objectives:Teachers will be able to develop and utilize subject specific benchmarks which correlate with the correct learning strand and clusterTeachers will be able to organize and evaluate results for the purposes of identifying students for remediationTeachers will be able to implement data driven instruction specific to student needsProfessional Training Module
Each session will be divided into three partsIntroduction and ImplementationData Analysis and EvaluationInstructional Implementation & ModificationIn each session the participants will have the opportunity to apply learned skills having completed an informational/instructional session (Asynchronous)Break out sessions (Group Rooms) lead by teacher trainers for small group learning and individual attention for application of learned material (Synchronous)Learning & Teaching
Participants will have the opportunity to apply knowledge. The teacher trainer will provide ongoing support throughout the year for data analysis, software and implementation through help boards and individual webinarAccess to digital library of help files created by teacher trainers on subject specific implementation in addition to FAQ assistance using Google Sites for storage and Captivate to create webinarsMonthly meeting to update implementation and develop cross-curriculum activitiesCross Curriculum activities posted in digital library with comments using Google SitesCollaboration & Continual Training
Self – Reflection from participants before and after sessions to determine expectations, goal setting and progress towards goalPresentation of individual results within small group sessions after implementationImmediate assessment of learning by development of student benchmarks and taking a “technology” benchmark through the program and evaluating the data from previous session. First session will utilize a data from a pretest.Evaluation of success based on participants ability to implement program and analyze dataFormal Evaluation based on rating scale tied with learning objectives for each activityAssessment & Evaluation
