There are three types of verbs in Spanish: Verbs that end in ‐ar Verbs that end in ‐er Verbs that end in ‐ir A verb before it is conjugated is an infinitive or un infinitivo Hablar = to talk Comer = to eat Vivir = to live A verb changed to agree with the subject is conjugated or conjugado Hablo. = I talk. - 2. Most verbs in the present tense follow the same regular pattern of conjugation, but there are some verbs in Spanish that break these rules. The first type of irregular verb we will look at are verbs that have a “yo” conjugation that doesn’t correspond with this pattern.
