This document discusses a study that examined the life skills training needs of tribal secondary school students in India. The study surveyed 88 tribal secondary students and 22 teachers at Ekalabya Model Schools. Both students and teachers indicated that tribal students required training in key life skills like self-awareness, effective communication, and interpersonal relationships. Life skills education is important for all students, but especially for tribal youth, to help them adapt to a changing society and face daily challenges. The results suggest schools should focus on developing students' psychological health and life skills through their education programs.
