 Science – derived form Latin word ‘Scientia’.
 Scientia means knowledge.
 Science is a systematic and organized body of knowledge.
 It is not only mass of knowledge but also ultimate source of
such accumulated knowledge.

 Systematic attempt to discover.
 By observation and reasoning of facts.
 Establish laws connecting facts.
 Predict future occurrences.
 Science is :-
 Body of empirical, theoretical and practical knowledge about world.
 Produced by scientists.
 By observation, explanation and prediction of real world phenomena.
 Science is :-
 Systematic acquisition of knowledge.
 By prescribed practice.
 Capable of prediction in controlled environment.

 Scientific method.
 Observation, quantification , classification,
measurement, inferring, predicting.
 Process of constructing accurate, reliable,
repeatable model of real world.
 Experimentation:
Helps to explore truth which involves
procedures and mental faculties like
reasoning, analysis and synthesis.
PRODUCT
 Principles, laws and are product of
science.
