- 24. Darwin’s Voyage Darwin before publishing his book titled: On the Origin of Species traveled on the ship the HMS Beagle. While traveling, he studied all kinds of plants and fossils He visited the Galapagos Islands
- 25. Darwin’s Findings During his trip, Darwin discovered that many plants and animals on the galapagos islands resembled those of the nearby coast of South America. He suggested that the birds migrated from the Galapagos Islands (near Ecuador) to South America He noticed that the birds had undergone a change since they have been seperated and called this change “descent with modification”

In most cases only a limited number survive to reproduce
