Harvey Goldstein graduated with a bachelor of electrical engineering from the NewYork University (NYU)Tandon School of Engineering, formerly known as the Polytechnic Institute. In May 2018, NYU Tandon announced that it surpassed its full-year fundraising goal. The university set a fundraising goal of $15.6 million for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.With support from alumni, parents, foundations, and corporate partners, donations surpassed the mark by 18 percent with only three months remaining in the fiscal year.Total donations amounted to $18.4 million, which reflects an upward trend in fundraising over the last several years. The amount raised in 2018 is nearly double the school’s five-year average for funds raised at this point in the fiscal year. Contributions will provide funding for a number of university endeavors, such as student scholarships, lab equipment, and capital improvements. Funds will also go toward the development of special programs.
