Openbravo WMS offers retailers a complete
cloud-based solution for the efficient
management of their daily warehouse and
inventory operations.
An easy-to-use, mobile-enabled solution
for the efficient and guided execution of
tasks such as receiving, moving, picking, and
inventory counts.
As warehouse tasks are processed, inventory
information is automatically updated to
provide retailers with a centralized, real-time
view of their inventory levels, a prerequisite
today for successful omnichannel execution.
The flexibility of Openbravo WMS allows
it to be adapted to different scenarios,
from a small warehouse in a store to
large warehouses with a large number of
locations and references, which requires
advanced functionalities to manage their high
degree of complexity.
Key Benefits
 Increase the productivity of your
employees
Optimize the use of physical space
 Gain centralized, real-time visibility into
inventory levels and movements
 Improve your operational efficiency by
executing tasks from mobile devices
 Improve your order-picking processes

WAREHOUSE SET UP
Physical layout. Establish the physical layout
of your warehouse by defining internal
routing areas, bins, and storage capacities for
warehouses or groups of bins.
Warehouse algorithms. Establish the use of
inventory algorithms that define the bins or
inventory that are considered when creating
or executing a task.
Dynamic priorities. Define rules to calculate
the priority of the tasks and from there
indicate the proposed sequence of execution
to the operators.
Routing. Establish internal (within the
same warehouse) and external (between
warehouses) routes that must be followed by
the goods during the execution of the tasks.
Bin popularity. Increase the efficiency of
your warehouses’ receiving process by using
codes that indicate the use of certain bins for
merchandise with a greater or lesser degree
of rotation (fast-movers or slow-movers).
Inventory status. Manage the inventory
status of warehouse locations, allowing you
to control the inventory status of products
stored there.
Configuration load. Import a csv file with
information related to the warehouse
configuration, including among other data
such as routing areas, storage groups,
products or alternative storage units.
TASK EXECUTION
Types of tasks. Define basic types of activities
such as receipts, movements or shipments,
as well as types of inventory transactions
allowed.
Task management. Generate, prioritize, and
assign or unassign tasks related to activities
such as pickings, movements, receptions,
put-away, inventory counts or shipments.
Notify employees in real time on their mobile
devices of their assigned tasks, presented in
order of priority and route.
Grouping. Group tasks that share the same
dimensions such as products, source and
destination bins, or attributes to facilitate
confirmation.
Management of tolerances. Define
permissible tolerances in relation to
differences between confirmed and expected
quantities, which can lead to the automatic
generation of new tasks.
Load balancing. Control the load levels
assigned to your warehouse operators
according to defined rules.
Authorizations. Control which users can start
or complete tasks from the front-end.
Execution log. Access a detailed log
with information on all steps taken during
the generation and execution of tasks to
identify future actions for improvement and
optimization. This functionality generates a
high volume of information from which it is
possible to configure the verbosity level and
the period during which it will be activated.
OPENBRAVO WMS PROVIDES A WIDE SET OF FUNCTIONALITIES
FOR THE COMPLETE AND EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT OF WAREHOUSE
AND INVENTORY OPERATIONS

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Attributes. Ensure full traceability by using
attributes such as batch number, serial
number, and expiration date.
Product popularity. Distinguish the highest
and lowest turnover products (fast-movers
and slow-movers) to identify the best
locations during the process of receiving
goods (put-away).
Referenced inventory. Manage stock that is
part of a set or another reference such as a
box or other type of container.
Physical inventory. Control the exact
inventory level at all times using planned
counting tasks or cycle counting for auditing
and error correction purposes. Allow multiple
users to share a task to reduce your expected
task execution time.
Alternative units of measurement.
Manage your inventory in different units of
measurement assigned to products.
Label printing. Easily integrate with label
generation systems or printers by taking
advantage of Openbravo’s integration
capabilities and the use of connectors
with solutions like BarTender from Seagull
Scientific.
www.openbravo.com
GUIDED INVENTORY RECEIVING
Bin recommendations. Ensure the optimal
use of bins as proposed by the system based
on different rules.
Movements between areas. Easily move
goods between different internal storage
areas.
Quality control. Allow for goods to be
automatically diverted, should it be required,
to the quality inspection area before being
transferred to the storage area.
OPTIMIZED PICKING
Picking strategies. Optimize the picking
process with the use of different rules.
Multi-order picking. Use a single picking
document to prepare lines for different
orders.
Cross-docking. Maximize the efficiency of
your preparation movements, diverting the
merchandise received directly to the shipping
area when there is a pending order for
picking, and thus avoiding storage.
Batched wave picking. Optimize the
preparation of multiple orders by creating
picking tasks that combine batch picking and
wave picking and are executed in different
scheduled time frames.
