KRAKÓW WROCŁAW Częstochowa Ogrodzieniec Krzyżtopór Wieliczka Łańcut Kozłówka Sudetes Tatras Bieszczady Zakopane In our presentation we want to say something about 2 major cities of southern Poland.  These  are: Kraków   (Cracow) and Wrocław  (Wroclaw) . There are also  many  attractive smaller towns like: Zakopane (Polish winter capital), Wieliczka, Łańcut, Kozłówka, Częstochowa,  Ogrodzieniec or Krzysztopór. Our southern border winds through picturesque mountain ranges – with their unspoilt nature and breathtaking landscapes. Poniatowa
Cracow Let us start with  Cracow .   This city  is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist resorts in our country. It used to be our capital in the past. Cracow is a great place for sightseeing. You  particularly  should see Wawel Castle, Old town square, St. Mary’s Basilica  or  Kościuczko Mound.

Cracow is the place where you can also relax, eat some delicious food in many restaurants and pubs. Here you can enjoy your time with friends by drinking a glass of cola… or  other stuff ;)
Wieliczka Now we want to show you Wieliczka.  Wieliczka is situated near Cracow. There is a unique salt mine, which is popular in all Europe.  Underground, there is a famous tourist path through the mine…You can participate in a 3km tour and you can see  statues of historic , mythic figures, chambers and chapels. The most magnificent is  Chapel of St. Kinga .
If you need salt…go there, and scratch some from the wall …
Częstochowa The next stop of our presentation is  Częstochowa .   T here is the most important Polish sanctuary called Jasna Góra. It gathers thousands of people every year, it is destination for many pilgrims.
The  miraculous  picture of Black Madonna In   the sanctuary you can find  some  belongings of the  P ope John Paul II .
Wrocław And now let’s have a look at another big city.  Wrocław is one of the most modern cities in Poland.  It’s becoming more and more popular  with  students because there are lots of possibilities to find an interesting job. In Wrocław, there is a popular university-Uniwersytet Wrocławski. It is also a destination for  many  tourists.

Łańcut Now, let us show you a smaller town. Ł a ń cut is an adorable town with bea u tiful park, church and castle. The Castle was built in the seventeenth century.
 
Kozłówka Here’s another, small burg.  In Kozłówka ,  a  marvellous  Baroque/Classical palace   is located  with its outstanding  park  . It  is now  the  museum of the Zamoyski family.
 
Krzyżtopór And now we want to show you something older.  In Ujazd village there is a castle of Krzyżtopór… In fact, there are only some ruins left but it is a great place for tourists. It has as many windows as days in a year, as many rooms as weeks in a year, as many spacious halls as months in a year and four towers which are symbols of four seasons of a year.
 
Ogrodzieniec Here’s another great castle.  In  a  small village  of   Ogrodzieniec,  there are ruins of medieval castle which was built in  the  fourteenth century. According to some  legends  it  has been  hounted by ghosts of former owners of this castle.
 
Polish mountains And now, we want to take you to the highest places in Poland.  We have two mountain ranges: Karpathian mountains and Sudeten mountains. From these ranges, we want to show you the most interesting, smaller areas .
Tatras They occupy area of 750 km², most of them belong to Slovakia.  These are the highest peaks in Poland:  Rysy (2499m), Kasprowy Wierch (1987m), Giewont (1894m). In Tatras we can find beautiful lakes ,  for example: Morskie Oko, Czarny Staw.

Zakopane The town in mountains   we want to show you the   is Zakopane.  Zakopane   is the   most important Polish center of mountaineering and skiing, and is visited annually by some three million tourists . In Zakopane you can’t miss Krupówki street. There are many restaurants, pubs and souvenir stores. The most recognizable symbol of the town is  ” Oscypek”, a type of cheese made from sheep’s  milk.  Oscypek is a protected trade name under the EU's Protected Designation of Origin geographical indication.

Bieszczady Bieszczady belong to Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia. This range is a part of Carpathian Mountains. The highest peak is Tarnica (1346m). Bieszczady aren’t very high, but they are very beautiful and every tourist will enjoy hiking there.
TARNICA Szeroki  W ierch   -   the most popular tourist path in Bieszczady.
Sudetes The Sudetes stretch from eastern Germany to Poland and the Czech Republic.  Sudeten mountains  have experienced growing tourism for winter sports during the past ten years. The highest peak is Śnieżka (1602 m).

It is a country of great opportunities, beautiful nature, historical monuments and friendly people known for their hospitality.
