- 2. I have chosen these images as they represent an indie/ hip-hop/ R&B genre. My magazine is going down Vibe type of magazine. An example of the genre on my mood board is the images of artists such as Rihanna, J Cole, Nicki Minaj and The Weekend. These are well recognised artists who are progressing in the industry and are very current and appealing to the youth of today. The artists appeal to the specific target audience. The image of J Cole’s album cover is very recognisable and therefore appeals to the audience. The white text of the album cover also allows the album cover itself to stand out. The magazine will cover many different genre’s and therefore I have included images of indie, pop and hip-hop. Images of concerts are also placed on my mood board as they are very relevant to these artists lives. They are wealthy and successful artists. Fashion is also placed on my mood board as it is an essential part of these artists in their day-to-day lives.
