- 4. The background is plain to make the image stand out clearly. The channel 4 logo is located to the right of the main image. The image is bold and uncomplicated to make sure the theme and point of the documentary is carried across to potential audiences. The colours reflect the theme of the documentary, it connotes the fashion element. The professional documentary has a more dull background to reflect the themes in Shameless. The slogan and title conform to the conventions of channel 4 adverts. The text has a contrasting background colour to make it more noticeable and so people can read it quickly. The font is sans serif which is the convention.
