To Whom It May Concern
I am delighted to offer a reference for Mr Leo Stagg whom I have known and worked with in my capacity
as Headmaster of Clifton Preparatory School. Mr Stagg has been employed at Clifton, Nottingham Road,
since June 2005.
Leo is currently employed as the IT Administrator at Clifton. This role includes the management,
development and maintenance of the wireless, copper and fibre networks, the installation and updating of
all software and the repair and replacement of all hardware that make up the complex infrastructure that is
Clifton’s IT network. Leo has served as a house master in Usher House and a sports coach on the rugby,
soccer and cricket fields. Leo also runs a Tai Kwondo club at the school and has managed the chess and
computer club as well as a gaming club. He forms part of a very effective administrative team that
supports the teachers, children and parents at Clifton.
Mr Stagg’ work is thorough, well researched and always completed with the goal of improving the school’s
IT experience. Leo is willing to work beyond what is expected and can be found at work late into the
night and early in the mornings in order to complete what is required and to the exacting standards he sets
for himself. Leo has also developed a genuine understanding of the use of IT in education and is able to
apply that knowledge in his support of the staff and children.
Leo may be an IT administrator of many years’ experience but he has proved himself willing to learn and
develop his skills and knowledge in all areas he is engaged in. As is required in the fast-developing IT
world Leo keeps himself up-to-date and informed on software, hardware and network developments. Leo
has attended the BETT conference in London and has ensured his IT qualifications remain relevant and
current. His commitment to the school is undoubted. Mr Stagg demands much of himself and delivers!
Amongst the staff, Leo holds firm convictions and is willing to contribute to discussions and staffroom
debates. Always positive, Mr Stagg can be relied on to accommodate others and to help colleagues where
necessary.
Mr Stagg would add greatly to any school or organisation that would consider employing him. I wish him
every success should he ever consider leaving Clifton.
