- 2. Drop capitals. These are really big letters which start off an article. This is the mast head of the magazine. This Is its name or logo so the reader knows what they're reading. A pull quote which catches the readers eye and is a quote from the celebrity himself. The house style is kept consistent throughout. Cover line-this in informing readers of what's included inside. This is an anchorage. This is the text informing you of who is in the image. Other artists names mentioned which proves that the magazine is not just about that one person on the front cover. These are cover lines which give information about other articles. Mode of address Significant image. High quality. Having a celebrity on the front attracts readers and fans just by looking at the cover and is more likely to be bought.
- 3. Here I notice a coloured image which we look straight at. This is to focus our attention straight to this. The colours are kept consistent throughout and stays to the house style The image overlaps the mast head. The image is central and is the main focus. Also we know it is mojo even thought the ‘O’ is hid because it’s a well known magazine. Lines used to separate the texts. A pull quote again from the celebrity them selves. Contact details of the magazine and the producers. The barcode. This appears on every magazine whether it be on the front, the back or in the contents page. The colours of the magazine compliment the classical rock genre.
- 4. similarities Both magazine front covers that I chose to write the conventions for both have similar mast heads. Both magazines have a very famous worldwide known artist on the front but most importantly both mast heads are covered. We still recognize and know what the make of the magazine is though because they are that popular we recognize them even with letters missing.
