The four spiritual laws outline the basic gospel message in four steps: 1) God loves humanity and has a wonderful plan for our lives. 2) All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory, separating us from Him. 3) Jesus Christ is God's sole provision for our sins and the only way to restore our relationship with Him. 4) We must have faith in Jesus as our Savior to receive salvation as God's free gift, not based on our works.

- 1. The four spiritual laws – 19th September2015 The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. (Psalm37:39). What arespiritual laws? TheFour Spiritual Laws area compilation of the broad Gospel message intended to be delivered and understood in four basic steps. They are: A. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life, John 3:16; and 10:10. B. We have all sinned and are separated from God, Rom. 3:23; 6:23.C. Jesus is the only way to be forgiven of our sins and find God, John 14:6. D. We must personally received Jesus as Savior and Lord, John 1:12.These four are basic guidelines and areoften used as a guide to explain the Gospel message. As the presenter delivers the information,he/she will expand on each point. Not all Christiansagreethat the fours spiritual laws aresufficient. Itis not a great and complicated theological teachingbut a simpleway of organizingthe important information in the Gospel into four points. The firstof the Four Spiritual Laws is, "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life." We can learn in John 3: tells us,"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"( John 3:16).Therefore firstknow this important teaching…God loves you! But I am so sinful butwhy does God love me? Firstlearn that itis Gods way. He loves all humanity and the reason for our very creation.We may not be abl eto do things His way but with God it is His way and it is way different to our wildestimagination!He is God! Furthermore in John 10:10 gives us the reason that Jesus came, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Jesus came to show us the right path so that we may have a blessed lifeas he wants us to have. As Christianswehave learned that it is our own actions that distanceourselves from God love and fellowship with us. What is blockingus fromGod's love? It is sin or itis breakingaway from the goodness that God through His teachings, wants to inculcatein our hearts. We allowevil thoughts, actions,attimes very consciously,well knowingthat action is not in keeping with Gods laws.Why did God bringabout laws? Knowing the human mind, He requires us to abideby His laws for our own protection…not only in this lifebut to ensure our very salvation or ever. The wonderful plan,that God has promised. If we deviate from these laws and get amassed in sin,due to the evil that we allowto take control within our thoughts, it will certainly prevent us from having an abundant lifethat God has promised… The second of the Four Spiritual Laws is, "Humanityis tainted by sin and is therefore separated from God. As a result,again we arefaced with the above situations.Weget distanced from God and therefore we cannotknow God's wonderful plan for our lives." Romans 3:23 affirms this,"…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." At times we may sin withoutgivingdue consideration to the consequences that may arisefromsame. In Romans 6:23 tells us : “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Here this passagegives us the consequences of sin, but shows that we have an option availed to us through Jesus Christ. We know that God created us to have fellowship with Him. However, humanity brought sin into the world, and is therefore separated from God. We have ruined the relationship with Himthat God intended us to ha ve. So as those who failed God, what is the solution? God sent His son Jesus Christas the atoningsacrificeand our redemption and the solution for our very salvation.Itis only through belief and by followingJesus Christand His ways that tainted humans can bridge the gap that separated us from God. The third of the Four Spiritual Laws is, "Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin”. Itis only through Jesus Christ,that we can have our sins forgiven and restore a rightrelationship with God." Romans 5:8 tells us,"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." As a Christiansitis a vital understandingthatwe need to inculcatewithin us that Jesus died for us and save us as a demonstration of His love for humanity. In 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 informs us of what we need to know and believe in order to be saved, "...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures..." Jesus Himself declares that He is the only way of salvation in John 14:6,"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." How can I receive this wonderful gift of salvation? Through faith and absolutebelief in Jesus, learningfromthe Good news that He
- 2. brought and by consciously workingwithin Gods teachings with a deep seeded thought for our salvation… The Fourth of the Four Spiritual Laws is, "We must place our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior in order to receive the gift of salvation and know God's wonderful plan for our lives." In John 1:12 the passagedescribes :"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." Through faith and belief in the name of Jesus we become one with Him and will be called Children of God. We become His ownership. Furthermore in Acts 16:31 itsays itvery clearly, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved!" We can be saved by grace and through faith in Jesus Christalone…itis God’s gift and not by all whatwe thing as a resultof our actions. We can learn in Ephesians 2:“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast” ( Ephesians 2:8-9). All these spiritual laws directChristiansto reach salvation as beingour main objective. A very important learning therefore is found in Acts 4:12 which says: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
