The importance of mathematics
The importance of mathematics
Fibonacci numbers appear to have the arisen in perhaps
200B BC in a work by pingala on enumerating possible
patterns of poetry formed from syllables of two lengths. The
fibonacci sequence is named after italian mathematician
Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci.

The seed pods on a pinecone are arranged in a spiral pattern. Each cone

Spiral galaxies also follow the familiar Fibonacci pattern. The milky way has several

Mathematics is used in most aspects of daily life. Many of the top jobs
such as business consultants, computer consultants, airline pilots,
company directors and a host of others require a solid understanding of
basic mathematics, and in some cases require a quite detailed
knowledge of mathematics. It also plays important role in business, like
Business mathematics by commercial enterprises to record and
manage business operations. Mathematics typically used in commerce
includes elementary arithmetic, such as fractions, decimals, and
percentages, elementary algebra, statistics and probability. Business
management can be made more effective in some cases by use of
more advanced mathematics such as calculus, matrix algebra and
linear programming.
You may be wondering why nursing and medical students need to
study mathematics as a part of their course. We thought that nurses,
physicians and other health care professionals must only study clinical
procedures, treatments, medicines, anatomy and physiology. But the
truth is math is incorporated into the daily lives of the health care
professionals. Doctors and nurses use math when they write
prescriptions or administer medications. Medical professionals use
math when drawing up statistical graphs of epidemics or success rates
of treatments. We are aware that doctors write prescriptions for their
patients for various sicknesses. These prescriptions show a particular
medication and dosage amount. Usually, medicines have
recommendations for dosage amounts in mg (mg) per kilogram
(kg). Doctors need to determine the number of mg of medicine each
patient will require, based on how much they weigh.
Engineering is a science that depends on empirical
formulas. Formulas that have been developed to best
match the theory of design and test results. There is no
engineering that does not have a mathematical basis. Once
experience is developed by the engineer, than his designs
can be initiated be estimates and proved by math. God has
made science such that we can repeat our designs once
we have computed and tested the math.
The modern technology is the modern appliance for math, science and
the arts for the benefit of life as it is known as. A good example of the
modern technology would be the rise of communication technology,
due to which the borders between the humans contact have reduced. It
has help us in many ways like it has brought new cultures to the
surface and increased the use of cyber culture and helped in the
development of the internet and the computer. Technology plays a
crucial role to close the gap and bring mathematics education into the
21st century. Technology makes it possible to access the endless sea
of information from any part of the world. In today’s tech-savvy world,
not only children, even adults feel more comfortable in using digital
devices for everyday activities. It gives us more mobility, motivation as
well as convenience.
Beyond the basic uses of mathematics in music theory and notation
(such as chords, time signatures, or dotted half-notes representing a
count of three), music has also been the source of research in many
areas of mathematics such as abstract algebra, set theory and number
theory. Would you believe that research has shown that certain pieces
of music end up being more popular and mainstream due to their
‘mathematical’ structure? The math-music connection shines in the field
of education as well. Research shows that children who learn their
academics through music and dance retain the information better than
children who learn the same concepts by verbal instruction.
A society, or a human society, is a group of people related to each other
through persistent relations, or a large social grouping sharing the
same geographical or virtual territory, subject to the same political
authority and dominant cultural expectations. More broadly, a society
may be described as an economic, social, or industrial infrastructure,
made up of a varied collection of individuals. Mathematics occupies a
crucial and unique role in the human societies and represents a
strategic key in the development of the whole mankind. The ability to
compute, related to the power of technology and to the ability of social
organisation, and the geometrical understanding of spacetime, that is
the physical world and its natural patterns, show the role of
Mathematics in the development of a Society.
