God (between you and Him); with the aim of not going back to them.

THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE REGENERATION OF MAN
God’s work in making us holy Our response to God’s work

LIGHT, AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP ONE WITH
ANOTHER, AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US
FROM ALL SIN. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the

We Are Here;
As we continue our look at sanctification (The Law of Sin and Death & The Battle For The Soul of
Man) taking into consideration that the main oppressor of man is sin in the heart, for hearts tainted
by sin will not only oppress their owners, but will inevitably lead to oppressive systems as well. It will
be apt to take a quick look at one other major way oppression may be facilitated; as in how
relationships between the ‘leaders’ and the ‘led’ are defined in the quest for sanctification and some
factors around it – this being passivity and the level of de-humanization it can lead to. We will in this
presentation look at the need for the believer to take responsibility for what our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ has left in us through His finished work at Calvary
,
Now these people were more noble and open-minded than those in Thessalonica, so they received the
message [of salvation through faith in the Christ] with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures
daily to see if these things were so. (Acts 17:11 Amp.)
Up to these point through this series, we have been addressing the inner spiritual oppression of sin,
which is the fount of all other types of oppression a believer encounters. Now we will briefly have a
look at passivity, a vehicle through which evil forces takeover a believer’s urge to act instead of
him/her and examine actions that necessitate the credulity that in most cases trigger it. We will be
looking at the horizontal aspect of the believer that being the one between the five-fold ministries
and the believer at the receiving end of their work
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the
one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Emotions can be misleading – The fact that man is still in the mortal state there could still be those moments of doubts
about salvation in times of sorrow, temptation, disappointment etc that may interrupt the moments of great joy, enthusiasm and
spiritual awareness and uplifting we feel; then it is the time to remember:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. “ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

functions of a liberated conscience, intuition and communion with God is demonstrated; even if and when
these are the “substance of things we hope for; and evidence of things we cannot see”

Then, at this point of being saved and having a regenerated heart, the soul
[(Functions of Will, Intellect & Emotions now being controlled by the spirit (Functions of a liberated
conscience, intuition and communion with God ) that is in turn now also under the control of the Holy Spirit]
SHOULD BE COMMITTED SOLELY TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST AND
ENABLED TO COMPREHEND THE SOLID BIBLICAL AND HISTORICAL FACTS THAT
CHRISTIANITY IS BUILT ON.

The soul being saved should reflect the purity of the heart; meaning that the effect of the functions of a
liberated conscience, intuition and communion with God is demonstrated by the assurance (the confirmation,
the title deed) of our righteousness and sanctification and redemption (that we cannot physically see) and
the conviction of the reality (perceiving as real what is not revealed to the senses) of this fact being made
real to us by our seeing ourselves hidden in Christ Jesus who became for us wisdom from God.

ONE ‘UNCHANGEABLE CONSTANT’ ABOUT CHRISTIANITY

Then Sealed Upon Our Hearts By The Holy Spirit
Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on
the earth [which have only temporal value].
(Colossians 3:2)
The use of " soul-force " means THE DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF
ALL THE " ATTRIBUTES OF THE SOUL " WHILST IN ITS FALLEN
CONDITION, and THEREFORE APART FROM GOD, EVEN THOUGH
IT MIGHT APPEAR TO BE IN THE SERVICE OF GOD. Truly
regenerated believers must face the fact that since " soulpower "
our " soul-force " has its source in the soul or self and not in the
spirit, which in the Christian is the place of the Divine Indwelling:
THE SPIRIT OF GOD DOES NOT USE THE NATURAL FORCES
OF THE SOUL FOR THE CARRYING OUT OF THE PURPOSES
OF GOD, though He does use the faculties of the soul in a
consecrated man, as a vehicle for expression of the life of
God.

In this end-time period we are in, a believer is expected to strictly
follow in the steps of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by laying down
the lower form of life that man develops through his own fleshly
activities (Psuche); So as to be able to live by the Spirit and share with
God in His eternal life (Zoe).

CARNALLY MINDED IS DEATH {RESULTING IN AN EVER-DYING FORM OF SPIRITUAL LIFE}, but
to be spiritually minded is {"zoe"} life and peace. Because the carnal mind {which naturally seeks to develop the "psuche"

The pursuit of the Perfection of Christ Jesus

A law is a broad view examined until it is proved that there is no exception: It is something that
happens the same way over and over again, for example if you are supposed to pay your tax due to
the government and for one reason or the other refuse to pay; the taxman will vigorously come after
you to make sure that you do Why? Because it is against the law of the land. If I do the same, the
taxman will vigorously come after me to make sure I pay up. Why? For the same reason that I would
be stopped: it is against the law and the law makes no exceptions.

Similarly, we all know that there are only 24 hours in a day, when the hour handle of the clock makes
two resolutions (12hours x 2); so that after 24 hours on a Saturday, the next second that comes
along is on a Sunday. Because that is the law we have always observed all over the world. ; so that
after 24 hours on a Saturday in Lagos, the next second that comes along is on a Sunday in Lagos: So
is it that after 24 hours on a Saturday in London, the next second that comes along is on a Sunday in
London. No matter what city you are in the world it is the same – that is the law. Whenever the
same conditions prevail the same effects are seen. There is thus a `law' that AFTER 24 HOURS
YOU HAVE ANOTHER DAY.

After conversion, triggered quickening of the believers heart, the conscience is released from the
hold of the will and subject to the control of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, thus there is a
switch fuel cars. The Holy Spirit replaces self in our “fuel car,” and His power enables us to go
where He wants us to go. The perpetuation of this power of the Holy Spirit to make us do the will

has to be checked. The ‘old man’ has to go so that the new can come to be, which is where the Cross comes in.
At rebirth (born-again), When we get saved, which is our ‘passport’ to partake of the FINISHED work of Jesus
Christ on the Cross at Calvary this processes start and must be carefully followed through.

the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried

through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised
him from the dead. (Colossians 2:9-12)
The union between Jesus Christ and His Church - “His own” Baptised In Him.

When He was raised up from the tomb, we are said to have
"risen with Him”

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come
he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6-7)
When He ascended to sit in glory, it is said still "God has made
us sit together in heavenly places in Him"

When he was circumcised, it is said,
"we are circumcised in him”
Every act of Jesus Christ upon earth, - that is, every marked act is set forth in the Scriptures
of truth as being in some way connected with his union with the church. The Bible then traces out
the union of Jesus Christ and His members “His own” in well nearly every action and suffering
during his transitory abode upon earth; it sets forth in the most prominent light, that in all that
he did and suffered, there was a union, an eternal union with his beloved people - “His own”.
in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of
the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. (Col 2:11)
Even before the foundation of the earth , and in His death at Calvary, Jesus was “cut off from the land of
the living” because of the transgressions of His people. In His bloody death, He underwent the ultimate
circumcision. He underwent everything that circumcision represented. He was cut off so that we might have
our hearts circumcised.
Circumcision of The Regenerated Heart

IF YOU believe IN Jesus AND
repentant OF YOUR SINS THEN
you are saved.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper
than any twoedged sword,
PIERCING EVEN TO THE DIVIDING
ASUNDER OF SOUL AND SPIRIT, and
of the joints and marrow, and is A DISCERNER
OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF
THE HEART.
(Hebrews 4:12)

CREATES LIFE IS
REVEALED
The circumcision of
the heart is a
picture of rejecting
evil and doing what
is right. It is a
picture of a heart
that has been
separated from
doing evil.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will punish all them which are
circumcised with the uncircumcised; Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the
children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that
dwell in the wilderness: FOR ALL THESE NATIONS ARE UNCIRCUMCISED,
AND ALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL ARE UNCIRCUMCISED IN THE HEART.
(Jeremiah 9:25-26)
There is physical un-circumcision which can be inconsequential; but the
un-circumcision of the heart will surely incur the wrath of God

You might say – "Why do I have to know and experience this Jesus you are going on about?" Here is why, when and how you can
get to know Him.
Admit your spiritual need.
We all are sinners: nobody likes that title “SINNER”, but the bible says in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of
God”.
What is the result of sin?
In Romans 6:23 we read “The wages of sin is death…” in other words, every sin is another step towards death. One thing that we need to
remember is that God never sends anyone to hell; one can send himself there by rejecting the truth.
Since we can never measure up to God’s standards by our own strength; God has reached out to mankind.
In Romans 5:8 we read, “God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. It is Jesus,
after all, who is the source of life’s greatest high.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be
saved.” (John 3:16-17).
What must a person do to accept this gift?
Most Importantly!!!!!

Simply receive it! Matthew 11:28 states –“come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you and learn from me…for my yoke is easy and my burden is light”.
Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine
with him, and he with me” Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks, seeking entrance into your life to give you peace, change you for
the best. John 1:12 says: “For as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God”.
If you haven't already received Christ as your Saviour, don't put it off another day! Take time right now to reflect on the
state of your life, how does Romans 3:23 apply to you? Ask God to empower you to see the true state of your heart –
“The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9) then when
enabled, invite Jesus into your life. Confess your sins. Receive His forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. You might
pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of a Saviour. Thank You for dying on the cross for my
sins. Thank You for giving me eternal life. Help me to live my life in a way that pleases You, for
whatever time You give me here on earth. I look forward to living forever in Heaven with You. Amen.
