The document investigates the velocity control of an electro-hydraulic servo system (EHSS) for hydraulic cylinders using two methods: a swashplate axial piston pump and a proportional valve. An experimental setup was constructed to evaluate the performance of a PID controller in achieving constant velocity under external load variations, with mathematical modeling provided for both the pump and valve systems. Results indicate that the PID controller effectively manages velocity control, demonstrating good performance across both control methods.
