students to study information

 Can type in any function in a variety of
ways. Sliders are provided so that functions
can be adjusted to achieve desired shape.
 App is very intuitive and students are able
to immediately input their function to
generate a graph. Additional help is
available for more in depth support.
 Students do not need to create an account
to use. Can participate without signing in.
Can also just use teacher provided class
code.
 Encourages analytical thinking and how
graphs are manipulated based on inputs.
Why we chose this app:
Desmos provides a free graphing calculator
to students to assist in math problems. It
creates the graph as students type numbers
into the program allowing them to quickly
visualize how different elements of an
equation impacts the graph. This immediate
feedback on how a graph changes is a very
powerful way for students to learn about
math.
