What is Web 2.0? You Tube video According to Wikipedia: Web 2.0 is a term which describes the trend of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users. Wikipedia (2008).  Web 2.0.  Retrieved 19 August 2008.
According to Tim O’Reilly: “ Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform. Chief among those rules is this: Build applications that harness network effects to get better the more people use them. So What Does That Mean?! Basically, web 2.0 refers to the programs, gadgets, networks, etc. that promote greater interaction among people online. Social networking sites, wikis, open source, photo sharing, video sharing, blogs, tagging (“folksonomy”)
Social Networking Sites Probably the most recognized tag word MySpace ,  Ning  (new generation social networking),  Facebook ,  imeem And many, many more!  -  this list from  Wikipedia  shows just how many social networking sites exist
Wikis a Web site that allows visitors to make changes, contributions, or corrections wiki. (2008). In Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. Some wiki sites require that you register with them before you can modify or add pages.
