- 1. To Kill a Mockingbird By Harper Lee Children’s Edition
- 2. Jean Louise finch. Or Scout, as everybody calls me. My brother Jem, and my father Atticus. We live in the town of Maycomb. My ancestors fall back to Simon Finch., a fur trader. Finch’s Landing, was an amazing farm built by him. Atticus is a lawyer, and my mom died since I was two. Only Jem is able to remember about my mother.
- 3. Dill, or Charles Baker Harris. He is a fun guy to play with. A good buddy. Dill wants me to visit Boo Radley, the mysterious neighbor hood. I don’t want to go there. Nobody has seen Boo Radley for years. It has been said he has stabbed his father to escape from his house.
- 4. Dill dared me to touch Boo Radley’s house. I did, and nothing happened. Thankfully. But then he left me, to the town of Meridian. I was hoping school to cheer me up again. Who said school would be fun? Miss Carolin is the worst teacher ever. I want somebody to talk to. My brother is not helping at all.
- 5. I don’t want to go to school. Why do we need to go to school? One day, I was walking back home. My eyes twinkled as I passed the Radley Place. A knothole. Inside one of Radley’s oak trees. First day, two pieces of chewing gum. Next day I came back, and there was two “Indian-head” pennies.
- 6. Dill came back! We made the Boo Radley game together, but I had to lie to my father we are not doing anything relating to Boo Radley. Jem and Dill are leaving me out. I am spending more time with Miss Maudie Attkinson Her garden is absolutely beautiful.
- 7. Miss Attkinson said Boo Radley is still alive. Atticus caught Dill and Jem trying to put notes on a window of Radley Place. What is wrong with them? But I followed them to the Radley Place. “Boom!” A gunshot. We ran like mad.
- 8. Jem lost his pants. The neighbor went crazy, Miss Maudie said Mr. Nathan Radley shot at a “Negro” in his yard. We lied Jem’s pants was won in a game of strip poker. The knothole was still there though.
- 9. Mr. Radley plugged the knothole with cement. No more free things. Suddenly a fire showed up. We got scared, worried. Jem told Atticus the truth about his pants.
- 10. Atticus is currently defending a black man named Tom Robinson. Calpurnia, our black cook takes us to the local black church. Am I safe here? They are welcoming us with warm smiles.
- 11. Alexandra came to help us. She is Atticus’s sister. Dill runs away from his “new father” and comes to Maycomb. Jem and I joined Atticus to face the huge mob down. Tom Robinson’s trial has begun... Can’t they just let go the life of a poor black man?
- 12. Children sit in the “colored balcony” with the black citizens. My dad realized the accusers, Mayella Ewell and her father had been lying! And why are the white citizens turning away from the truth that is right in front of their faces? How could they?
- 13. Gone, the life of a poor innocent man. Bob Ewell’s eyes are seeking for revenge... He jumped out. My heart was pounding. I was walking back home with Jem from a Halloween party. An attack followed.
- 14. I gasped. Boo Radley. I was still scared of the redoubtable Boo Radley. He grabbed us, he killed Ewell to protect us. He dropped me off inside the house. He was never seen again.
