Early Black Friday office chair deals 2025: I tracked down some top-rated chair discounts before the sales begin
I've found some top deals on office chairs - and the Black Friday sales haven't even started yet
Beat the sales rush with these Black Friday office chair deals you can get right now, before the big sales even start.
I've found some great early deals with big discounts from the likes of FlexiSpot, Boulies, and Herman Miller - all top-rated and reviewed models I've included in my guide to the best office chairs for maximum comfort and support at work.
I test and review chairs for a living, and after covering big sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday for years, I'm keen to pick out the deals and discounts that are actually worth your money. A good office chair is an investment, so I'm going beyond the cheapest possible price to look for those that offer great value.
That means checking for essential features like lumbar support, adjustable armrests, material and build quality, and long warranties. I'm particularly interested in finding models my team and I have reviewed, so I can give your our honest view and you know exactly what to expect from any office chair deal I find during Black Friday, whether you want a seat for work, play, or both.
What's new? Black Friday might not have officially started yet, but I've rounded up some eye-catching early deals and discounts from some of my top-rated office chair brands below.

The Flexispot OC3B comes with ergonomic and passive lumbar support to relieve back pains, while the mesh fabric cushion should make this a comfortable all-rounder. Weight capacity is a fair 220lbs. The seat is available in black, grey, and blue. Right now, it's $10 cheaper than last Black Friday.

This is one of my favorite budget office chairs - the Corsair TC100 Relaxed gaming chair has a refined, professional style will fit into any home office. We were big fans when we tested this smart, fabric gaming chair (see our review here), offering a good balance of cost and comfort. I like its design, its sturdiness, its overall robust build quality. Probably the best gaming chair at this price you'll get from a known brand.

The magisterial Herman Miller Embody office chair is my top choice for those looking for posture correction and back pain relief, thanks to its cleverly designed dynamic backrest. In our review (read it here), we praised the chair for its "elegant and ingenious design, premium build, and excellent comfort."

This is one of the cheapest high-back office chairs with a headrest that I've found so far. As expected, it might lack some premium features, such as dynamic lumbar support, but it does featured fixed back support, flippable armrests, and a breathable mesh backrest. Bonus points for including the headrest, which I find vital for all-day comfort.

When we tested the Vari Task chair in our review, we really enjoyed our time in the seat. It’s built with ergonomics in mind, which is excels at. We found support was fantastic here, but more variants would be nice - for now, it’s just black and grey for that all-important professional touch.

This ergonomic office chair from Vari has one of my favorite features on a desk seat - adaptive lumbar support. This means, it moves as you move, so you’re always supported. Recline is a fair 116-degrees, and can be locked into three positions depending on your preference. Bonus points, too, for the breathable mesh backrest and retractable footrest.

This mid-back office chair from FlexiSpot reminds me of the style of a Branch Verve or Ergonomic, but at a slightly cheaper price. It's a mesh back and foam seat design, suitable for anyone between 4'11" and 6'7", has a weight limit of 330lb, and includes lumbar support and 4D armrests.

The Kaiser 3 XL is also on offer at $499 (see our review here), offering a little extra space and the better choice for big and tall body types.

Boulies is - or was - traditionally a gaming chair outfit, but I find its products well-suited for home office use too. The Master Gaming Chair is the prime example of that, as we found in our review. It's comfortable, has key features like 4D armrests and adjustable lumbar support, and feels premium in its material and build quality. Black Friday office chair deals: FAQs and buying advice
When do Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales start?
Black Friday 2025 begins on November 28, followed by Cyber Monday on December 1. The sales end at midnight.
But, as I'm already seeing, plenty of retailers are going early on their Black Friday deals, with the likes of FlexiSpot, Best Buy, and Boulies all offering discounts. So, it's definitely worth starting your shopping early, or at least monitoring prices.
How do I choose the right Black Friday office chair deal?
I've covered everything you need to check in my guide How to choose the best office chair for you.
But here are the main features I recommend checking before committing to any office chair this Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Design
The two main options here are mid-back and high-back office chairs. Mid-back models like the Branch Verve or FlexiSpot Sheer offer support the lower back up to the shoulders, and offer more freedom to move. High-back chairs offer full spinal support including the neck and shoulders, and while movement can be more restricted, I recommend them for workers sitting all day.
Material
The choice here is fabric or mesh. Fabric is good for soft, padded comfort. Mesh is good for firm support and all-day breathability. Which you choose depends on your preference.
You may see some deals on office chairs that are faux leather (sometimes called PU leather or leatherette). I would recommend avoiding these in general, as they lack the breathability of a fabric or mesh chair.
Lumbar support
There are three types of lumbar support to choose here. Fixed lumbar support remains in a single position, and is ideal if you're of average height. Adjustable lumbar support is better all-round, and can be raised and lowered, or even moved backwards and forwards for a more tailored fit for a range of body types. Dynamic lumbar support is the best pick, as it delivers continued support as you shift in your seat.
Ultra-cheap office chairs often have no lumbar support at all, and are best avoided.
Armrests
Most office chair deals have 2D, 3D, or 4D armrests - this determines the number of directions the armrests can be angled (up, down, backward, forward, inward, outward).
Adjustments
This is arguably the most important features to look for when getting a chair that offers a tailored fit. Alongside lumbar support, a good office chair will also offer the ability to adjust the seat height and depth, to ensure you're sitting correctly and properly supported. Lockable recline and tilt are standard on most chairs, but check the specs to be sure. Also check that the headrest, if included, can be adjusted or angled for better neck support, too.
Below, I've created a table to check what height your chair should reach depending on your height.
Price and value
An office chair is an investment - even if it's in a Black Friday deal. In my experience, the cheapest Black Friday office chair deals don't necessarily equal good value for money. Not only do they often lack core features essential for comfort and support, but build quality is usually lower and they can be prone to squeaks and creaks during use.
Where possible, opt for a chair from a brand reviewed by me or my team so you know what to expect. For budget and mid-range chair deals, look at companies like Boulies, FlexiSpot, and Sihoo. At the premium end, Branch, Vari, Friska, Herman Miller, Steelcase all offer great, stylish chairs with long warranties. For gaming and office chairs, Secretlab, Razer, and Corsair all get my vote.
User height | Seat height |
|---|---|
Under 4'11" | Below 16in |
Under 5’3″ | Below 17in |
Between 5'3" and 6'5 | 17in to 21in |
Over 6'5" | 21in and above |
