OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What specific goals or objectives did you hire Yalantis to accomplish?
To implement a flexible payment solution to allow the platform to process payments made by users on behalf of our customers
To give our users the ability to self service payment information on our platform
Decouple the payments infrastructure from our product so that we have options on providers in the future

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Build a unified service built on the Django framework that integrtes with Stripe.
The scope of work was to deliver a unified broker between the platform and Stripe. The service needed the ability to handle everything on the Stripe side without the platform needing to know anything more than the service itself.
The service needed to create stripe connected accouts and handle payment information for the platform users as well as managing a complex set of relationships between customers and stripe accounts.
The main goal for the service with all of the information described here was to replace the payment run producres for the platform.
To achieve this Yalantis took the product and technical team members through a discovery which ended up with a high level design and the proposal of an iterative apraooch so that the service could be assessed for meeting outcomes as the project progressed. It was decided that the DJango framework and Python would be used so that there would be a lower barrier for hand over to the internal teams once completed.
Produce a set of apis that give the platform capability to manage connected stripe accounts
The platform required a set of apis that could handle the functionality described above. The key goal for the integration of this service is so that it will not tie the platform down to one pahyment provider if that need to change in the future.
Build a user portal for users to manage their payments information, invoices and payment methods
The users on the platform historically had no way to manage their own payment methods or view invoices and transactions that they had processed on the platform. The scope of work here was to give an easy to use interface for the platform users to manage this information for themselves.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
During the discovery phase the full scope of the work was agreed and a set of high level user stories were produced.
Each of the user stories was given a size and an estimate by the team.
The stories were broken down into quickly deliverable phases of work which meant that shippable code was delivered at the end of each two week sprint.
Once all of the user stories had been completed the legacy payments functionality could be turned off and the new service commisioned to deliver the required functions.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
We had no issues with how the project was managed. Any time there were questions, they were answered the same day and the team were always present if any information was required during the sprints.
What was your primary form of communication with Yalantis?
Virtual Meeting
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team was carefully selected for the requirements of the work, not only for technical ability, but for cultural fit as well. This was a key factor foe us as we needed team members that were able to get the work done, be creative in solution development and also push us to be as innovative as possible during the delivery of this project.
The whole Yalantis team was accommodating from project conception to completion.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Yalantis could have done differently?

Yalantis has become the technology partner of an athlete-oriented mental health company. They've helped the client develop the MVP of a software system using React.js, Python, Django, and AWS as the tech stack.
The client is very happy and satisfied with Yalantis' work and the product they've created, as well as with their willingness to address the client's concerns and change requests. The team has excelled at budget management, and they leverage Zoom, Slack, Jira, and Confluence to collaborate.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO and CTO of ELITE Athlete Services. We provide mental health, mental wellness, and mental performance services, focusing on amateur and professional athletes. We have our own clinic and are developing a technology solution to help assess and funnel all the athletes we deal with to the appropriate resources. In my role, I run all our day-to-day operations and technology development work.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Yalantis?
We were looking for an offshore tech development company that could do everything we needed without us having to create an internal team or find individuals outside North America to reduce costs. We wanted this technology partner to develop a proof of concept (POC) and an MVP. Our aim was to set a relationship and build it from there for continuous development iterations.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Yalantis has helped us develop our custom software system. Before we signed the contract, we had initial pre-sales meetings, during which I provided them with documentation. We also signed an NDA so that they could look at everything I provided. Then, Yalantis came back with an in-depth project proposal of about 50 pages.
Once we signed the contract, we had a kick-off sprint week, during which six of Yalantis' employees and I met every day to define the process and how everything would look. As for the technology stack, we're using React.js, Python, and Django to create this software piece. Moreover, our whole backend is hosted in AWS.
In addition to the development work, Yalantis has also assisted with our marketing, providing us with resources from Figma to support our pre-sales and pre-market efforts. They've also provided us with demo materials to build our pre-sales items.
What is the team composition?
As mentioned, we initially worked with six teammates from Yalantis, including the delivery manager, the customer success manager, the product manager, a business analyst, a designer, and a backend engineer. Throughout the process, more teammates have come in and out of the project. Now, we're consistently working with the project manager, the business analyst, a designer, a frontend developer, a backend developer, and a QA engineer.
How did you come to work with Yalantis?
I originally found them on LinkedIn with a group of different teams. After that, I found them on Clutch, saw their different reviews and ratings, reached out to them, and started talking with them from there.
How much have you invested with them?
Our initial project has cost around $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2024, and our first project is about to be completed. However, I've signed a contract for continued work regarding reliability, and we've also talked about three more development phases.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We're very happy and satisfied with how everything has turned out and with the whole Yalantis team. Their willingness to discuss issues, fix problems, and help us with anything we need is great, so I wouldn't want to have developed this product, especially the MVP with anyone else.
We've achieved great results that we're very happy with, which is the reason we now have an ongoing relationship with Yalantis. If their work weren't good, we wouldn't have continued the engagement. However, it has made sense to continue working with them from a business standpoint, and we're happily working together. They like our team, and we love their team, too.
How did Yalantis perform from a project management standpoint?
We've had a few timeframe hiccups throughout the project, but we've also been changing requirements and dealing with those changes. As for budget management, Yalantis has stuck perfectly to their quoted budget. Whenever there are overages or cost differences, they take care of those differences themselves. This approach has been great and alleviates the stress of wondering what's going to happen. We use Zoom, Slack, and email to communicate, as well as Jira and Confluence for project planning.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Although the whole team has been very good, Yaroslav (Project Manager) and Yana (Business Analyst) have been excellent. They've made it very easy for me, helped guide the process, and made sure everything was accounted for. They've also come up with very good questions and good solutions, and we've had fantastic communication. Both of them have been extremely great to work with.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Yalantis has been very receptive to delivering anything we need and making changes as needed. They're very open to providing anything we ask for, which is very nice. Moreover, their communication is very open as well, and everything has flowed nicely.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything Yalantis could change. Going forward with other projects, we might find some improvements. Thus far, we're very happy with them.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Don't be afraid to ask questions, ask for their advice, or negotiate with them because they're very open to all that, which is very positive. If you have questions or concerns, they're very open to talking with you, so don't hesitate to communicate.
Additionally, it's very easy to communicate with them. We were concerned about our communication, especially because we're from North America, and they're from Eastern Europe. However, we've had no issues whatsoever, and it has been better than expected.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director and founder of a telehealth medical company in Australia.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Yalantis?
We needed help with custom software development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Yalantis has designed and developed a custom platform for patient management using Django. The platform includes patient information and processes patient medication orders. They’ve also integrated e-prescribing functionality and some recording features.
What is the team composition?
We work directly with 8–10 teammates, including designers, business analysts, project managers, solution architects, and more people.
How did you come to work with Yalantis?
I found them on Clutch. They were a big company and had many good videos online.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $250,000 AUD (approximately $166,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in the first week of January 2024, and our partnership is ongoing. We’ll finish the project in the next 2–3 weeks.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our measure of success is bringing to life the solution we need. Yalantis has helped us along the way to envision what it would look like, and the product is pretty much perfect.
I don’t have a software background, so it’s been really cool. They’ve given input into what we can and can’t do, and we’ve developed a platform that meets our needs and everything we want to do without continuing to rely on other systems. Overall, Yalantis has helped bring our vision to life.
How did Yalantis perform from a project management standpoint?
They meet our deadlines, and we communicate through emails, Slack, and Zoom meetings.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Constantine (Project Manager) is awesome.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I like their honesty. They weren’t just trying to take the money. Yalantis understands what we can and can’t do, what it’ll cost, and if some things aren’t worthwhile. They always have a purpose for everything and ask why we’re trying to do something or what outcome we expect, which helps us cut back on budget.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’d never done software before, so it’s been a learning curve. The only thing we weren’t expecting was the budget side of things. We initially had a rough idea of what the platform would be like, but as it was coming to life, there were so many things we wanted to add on top of the developing features that we blew up the budget massively.
Maybe Yalantis could educate people upfront by warning them that most people spend more because they want to add features they didn’t think of before, not because the estimations are wrong. They could keep that in mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them; they have your best interests at heart, which is good. However, you should also understand that you’ll think of many other features to add to the software while it’s coming to life. You should have a list of the essential features and the features that would be nice to have for a feature release and stick to it religiously.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Yalantis provides us with ongoing development work for our web app. They work with our internal development team and help us with front- and backend development, DevOps, and product management. When the project started, the app's backbone was already there, so they studied the existing codebase. The team is adding new features to the existing version of the app, and they're also building the new version of that app that we'll release by the end of 2022.
They've used Python, a flat API structure for the backend, React for frontend development, and AWS for cloud management. On the platform, our customers can do phishing and social engineering attack simulations. The app has a dashboard that presents several statistics, such as how many employees fell for the attack and which strategies have worked.
Users can also distribute education and content to their employees through the app. They can also configure surveys to question why they fell for the attack tests, and then the dashboard can generate analytics about the answers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenges were you trying to address with Yalantis?
Our country was facing an extremely tight staffing situation, and we needed help finding developers for our company.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Yalantis provided staff augmentation services for us. They sourced us with a frontend developer.

Regarding the developer’s work, he wrote a component library and helped us write the first elements of a web platform.
What was the team composition?
We worked with around four members of Yalantis’ team, including Ivan (Software Engineer), an account manager, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Yalantis?

Yalantis' team delivered on time and within budget. We communicated every day via Slack and Zoom.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Ivan was amazing, and we had a great time working with him. He was extremely professional, did everything we asked and more, completed everything in an amazing time, was available for us, and had great English, so it was easy to communicate with him.
In addition, the account manager Yalantis assigned us was super kind and helpful and held our hand throughout the process. He was also extremely courteous and patient guiding us in this project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Yalantis' ability to quickly source us with the right developer in such a short time was impressive. The turnaround times were fast.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It took us a few weeks to start the project because the contract signing process was too long. I'd like them to simplify this part of their work to make everything a bit better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend treating them as an extension of your time rather than as an external outsource. We had the developer within our messaging and ticketing systems, which worked amazingly for us.

Yalantis has designed and built a mobile app for a nonprofit. The team has worked on the app’s plug-ins and UX, accounting for the client’s three target user roles. They’ve built an admin feature into the app.
Thanks to Yalantis, the client now has a functioning app that has received great feedback from users. Around 90% of the test users will continue using the product. The team has been thorough in writing the app’s code and communicates closely with the client to guide them through the project.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the director of operations for a nonprofit.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Yalantis? We hired Yalantis to build a custom app for us. For context, another agency was building the app, but we needed to hand it off to Yalantis as the agency was changing directions with our company. Yalantis then inherited the project. Our goal was to complete the app development process and make the product responsive. We wanted to publish it in app stores and connect it to Salesforce while increasing its security.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement? We started with a hand-off of the app, and it was a difficult process for us and Yalantis. Nonetheless, the team asked questions and worked on getting the right information for us. We looked into the documentation and discussed which plug-ins to leverage and customize. Then, we broke down the three user roles within the app, each with their own UX and flow. The team worked on aligning them with our backend.
At present, we’re still working with Yalantis, although we’re soon launching the app on app stores. We’re going to do some ongoing work; we plan to ramp up with a larger team by February 2023. The key deliverable is a mobile app for iOS and Android, and it’s built using Flutter. Its plug-ins include Instabug for reporting; Yalantis has also helped us integrate some analytics into the product.
For features, our app helps foster parents. Users can send requests for their needs, such as emotional support. It provides a way for their friends and community to engage and respond to those requests.
Moreover, the app has a calendar feature where everybody can see what the next several months look like for foster parents, ensuring their requests are being sent. There’s an admin panel for our organization where we perform background checks and training. The app gives us admin-level visibility in terms of where a person is in the process. What is the team composition? We work with 4–6 teammates from Yalantis, depending on the project’s needs. We’ve worked with a frontend engineer specializing in Flutter development, a backend engineer, a project manager, a business analyst, and a DevOps specialist. We’ve also worked with a QA specialist. How did you come to work with Yalantis? Yalantis was referred to us by a previous client of theirs. The person who referred them praised the team’s ability to execute high-quality work. They seemed reliable, so we decided to engage them. How much have you invested with them? Our investment is around $50,000–$200,000. What is the status of this engagement? We reached out to Yalantis in April 2023, but the development officially started in May 2023. It’s ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We’ve done small group tests for the app, and the results have been great. Around 90% of the users have said they’ll continue using the app. We now have one spot for the community to engage and communicate. Moreover, we’ve noticed a significant decrease in bugs and problems — the code is truly well done, and the Yalantis team has been thorough. How did Yalantis perform from a project management standpoint? There has been scope creep, so we’ve experienced some delays. However, that’s not because of Yalantis. We’ve simply discovered that things are more complex than we originally anticipated. The team has received feedback well throughout this. They’re communicative and deliver work with accuracy in terms of scope and deadlines. Once we’ve nailed down what we’re truly trying to solve, they’ve executed well.
When we ask for more communication from them, they increase it and provide us with weekly sprint reports. We can see exactly what they accomplish. For tools, we use Jira and Confluence for project management and Slack for communication. What did you find most impressive about them? Yalantis’ biggest strength is their ability to take information from us — a non-technical organization — and translate it into tasks. This helps engineers know what they need to create. On top of that, their complete execution and quality of work are phenomenal. Are there any areas they could improve? There was a steep learning curve for us in the beginning in terms of learning what they were working on. It also took us some time to understand how tools like Jira worked. Sprint reports were sent, but it was hard for us to understand them and how everything all played out in terms of scope and timelines. Sometimes, we’d say yes to something without knowing its cost.
To be fair, the Yalantis team responded well to this and created detailed documentation for us. However, we needed to ask them for those. Do you have any advice for potential customers? If you don’t know much about technology, you need to hire Yalantis. They’re going to take your deficiencies in technology communication and help you get what you want. If you understand technology, their ability to execute code, UX, and quality testing makes them a strong team.
Besides that, if you’re in the US, be aware of the time difference since they’re in Ukraine. I recommend doing more morning meetings and weekly standups. This is one of the reasons why we’re successful and can stay aligned.
