Making properties FINAL is an API break not covered by any QUIP rule.
However, this does not apply to the attached and uncreatable types
(either explicitly, or because they are singletons or value types) whose
properties were marked FINAL in the referenced commit, as it is not
possible to derive from them anyway. So those are left with their
properties still marked as final.
This partially reverts commit 351979e05ad2a861fc3e6f8d1de6197a751316a8.

Without setting the FINAL flag, properties can be shadowed by users.
In the following example:
Image {
property string source: "Shadowing QQuickImage::source"
}
The source property of QQuickImage, will be shadowed by a new property
with the same name.
This can both cause confusion for non-experienced users, and it causes
issues with qmlsc.
Shadowing a property is usually unwanted. But there are some situations
where it might be intended. The QML Object Attributes doc page
demonstrates that you can override the color property in
QQuickRectangle, for instance.
[ChangeLog][Important Behavior Changes][QtQuick] Most properties for
types in the QtQuick module are now FINAL, meaning that they can no
longer be shadowed by declaring new properties with the same names.
With few exceptions. A warning will be printed out to the console, when
a FINAL property is shadowed. We recommend that users rename those
properties to avoid potential unexpected behavior changes.

If a color is not the rgb format, when QColor::red() QColor::blue()
QColor::green() is used continuously to obtain the values of different
channels, three times color conversions will occur. Therefore, use
QColor::toRgb() before that to ensure that only one conversion is
performed at most. Not only rgb, the conversion of other formats is the
same.

Using this technique we can automatically register all necessary
revisions and minor versions of a type, using the metaobject system.
This greatly reduces the potential for mistakes and resulting
incompatibilities between versions of imports.
We assume that for each type we need to register all revisions of its
super types and its attached type, and that the revisions match. That
is, if you import version X of type A, you will also get version X of
its attached type and of any super types. As we previously didn't take
these dependencies into account when manually registering the types, a
number of extra revisions are now registered for some types.
Potentially, we can now generate the qmltypes files at compile time,
using moc.

From now on we prefer nullptr instead of 0 to clarify cases where
we are assigning or testing a pointer rather than a numeric zero.
Also, replaced cases where 0 was passed as Qt::KeyboardModifiers
with Qt::NoModifier (clang-tidy replaced them with nullptr, which
waas wrong, so it was just as well to make the tests more readable
rather than to revert those lines).

The D3D12 node implementation is mostly missing. The rest of the enablers
should be in place now however.
Importing QtQuick 2.8 provides new properties for ShaderEffect:
- shaderType can be used to decide which language should be used
- shaderCompilationType tells if compilation is runtime or offline
- shaderSourceType tells if the vertex/fragmentShader properties refer
to source strings or source files or pre-compiled bytecode files
The last two are bitmasks. In practice however we will support only
one approach per backend for now (runtime + source string for OpenGL,
offline + bytecode for D3D12).
In addition to QSGShaderEffectNode, introduce the QSGGuiThreadShaderEffectManager
interface. This provides the gui thread bits for the above and performs shader
reflection. Backends that use the new ShaderEffect system must provide both.
For each ShaderEffect item there will be a manager (on the gui thread) and
a node (on the render thread).
Reflection is expected to be done via standard helper libs (d3d12shader
+ D3DReflect from d3dcompiler for the D3D12 backend), or via manually inspecting
SPIR-V, or parsing the source (like the GL path does now), or by using some
3rd party library (not recommended). In any case we require that reflection is
doable on the gui thread without dependencies to the actual graphics API.
The ShaderEffect documentation is greatly extended, covering HLSL and the new
properties.
The test app uses manually compiled shaders on its HLSL path for now. This
is because there is no story yet for build system integration for public
use (the internal HLSL -> bytecode in C header rule is only suitable for
the d3d12 plugin itself, apps need something different).

This change moves the QtQuick 2 types and C++ API (including
SceneGraph) to a new module (AKA library), QtQuick.
99% of this change is moving files from src/declarative to
src/quick, and from tests/auto/declarative to
tests/auto/qtquick2.
The loading of QtQuick 2 ("import QtQuick 2.0") is now delegated to
a plugin, src/imports/qtquick2, just like it's done for QtQuick 1.
All tools, examples, and tests that use QtQuick C++ API have gotten
"QT += quick" or "QT += quick-private" added to their .pro file.
A few additional internal QtDeclarative classes had to be exported
(via Q_DECLARATIVE_PRIVATE_EXPORT) since they're needed by the
QtQuick 2 implementation.
The old header locations (e.g. QtDeclarative/qquickitem.h) will
still be supported for some time, but will produce compile-time
warnings. (To avoid the QtQuick implementation using the
compatibility headers (since QtDeclarative's includepath comes
first), a few include statements were modified, e.g. from
"#include <qsgnode.h>" to "#include <QtQuick/qsgnode.h>".)
There's a change in qtbase that automatically adds QtQuick to the
module list if QtDeclarative is used. Together with the compatibility
headers, this should help reduce the migration pain for existing
projects.
In theory, simply getting an existing QtDeclarative-based project
to compile and link shouldn't require any changes for now -- but
porting to the new scheme is of course recommended, and will
eventually become mandatory.
