Text shadow is one of those little known CSS tricks that can make your words pop off the page. Every object cast shadows, then why not text. Basically, it adds a blurred or solid shadow behind your text like the drop shadows you see on old movie posters or album covers.
People overuse it sometimes and end up with that early 2010s "everything must glow" look, but when you keep it subtle, it is honestly a game-changer for readability and style.
