While the debate within Europe often focuses on challenges, international businesses see significant opportunity. 📊 We surveyed 1,200 senior decision-makers across the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions whose companies already invest in Europe or plan to do so. The findings challenge several common assumptions about Europe’s attractiveness. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share how those surveyed view Europe’s attractiveness, innovation potential, resilience and future growth prospects. 💡 One stat to kick things off: 81% say Europe has become much or somewhat more important to their investment decisions over the last three years. 📣 We are pleased to announce plans to launch a Digital Asset Custody solution for institutional and corporate clients in Europe this year, subject to the completion of the applicable regulatory process. The new service will provide secure and regulated custody for selected digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ether and selected stablecoins. We will manage wallet and private key infrastructure, helping clients access this evolving market without building and maintaining their own custody capabilities. 🔐 Designed with institutional-grade security, robust governance and multiple layers of operational controls, the solution reflects our commitment to providing clients with trusted access to emerging areas of financial services and market infrastructure. Initially, the service will be available to selected clients of our Deutsche Bank Corporate Bank and Deutsche Bank Investment Bank, with further development guided by client demand, regulatory requirements and our risk framework. People can't stay in their jobs forever. Their knowledge can. 🧠 That's the idea behind how DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH approaches demographic change. Rather than viewing an ageing workforce as a challenge, DFS treats experience as a strategic asset. Knowledge doesn't leave when employees retire. Instead, expertise is embedded into training, innovation and even digital twins that help shape the future of aviation. As labour markets change across industries, organisations face an important question: How can they ensure that decades of experience don't leave when employees do? It's a challenge that extends far beyond aviation and one that many organisations, including those in highly regulated and knowledge-intensive industries, are grappling with. Demographic change and skills shortages are reshaping businesses across industries. Through our work with companies navigating these challenges, we see how organisations are finding new ways to preserve critical expertise and build resilience. 💡In our latest What Next story, we look at how DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung turns experience into a strategic asset and what other organisations can learn from its approach to knowledge transfer and workforce resilience. 💰 A high salary doesn't always leave you better off. The 2026 Mapping the World's Prices report shows how dramatically housing costs can reshape purchasing power. Zurich tops the global salary ranking, followed by San Francisco, Geneva, Boston and New York. But once rent enters the equation, the picture changes significantly. New York drops to 39th place for disposable income after housing costs, despite being one of the highest-paying cities in the world. Meanwhile, cities such as Zurich, Geneva, Luxembourg and Frankfurt combine strong incomes with a much better affordability balance. The lesson? Earnings matter, but housing often determines real purchasing power. 👉 See the full analysis in the 2026 Mapping the World's Prices report: https://lnkd.in/dQ-jShBK Deutsche Bank Research

📣 We are supporting the development of renewable energy infrastructure in Germany through our participation in the financing of Gennaker, a major offshore wind project developed by Skyborn Renewables, a portfolio company of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). The project has a planned capacity of up to 976.5 MW and is expected to become the largest offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea. It is now jointly owned by Skyborn Renewables (75%) and Stadtwerke München GmbH (25%) after a successful equity-farm down process. As Mandated Lead Arranger, Original Lender and Hedging Bank, we were part of a consortium of 16 commercial lenders and the European Investment Bank (EIB) providing €2.1 billion in senior debt financing for the project. 🤝 The project has also secured long-term power purchase agreements with Amazon (600 MW) and Uniper (100 MW), supporting a substantial share of its future electricity production through contracted revenues. The transaction supports the continued expansion of renewable energy capacity in Germany and demonstrates the role financing can play in enabling large-scale infrastructure projects. Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, we join New York and communities around the world in remembering the lives lost, the families forever changed and all those who continue to live with the effects of that day. For Deutsche Bank, this anniversary carries a deeply personal meaning. We remember our colleagues Frank Bourdier and Sebastian Gorki, who were killed in the attacks. Their names are inscribed on a memorial plaque in our New York offices – a lasting tribute to their lives and to all who were lost.

  • Today at the PFIP - Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride Summit in Manila, Open for Business and Deutsche Bank are launching the Investor Guide to LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Growth Markets. The report analyses 320 of the largest listed companies across Brazil, India, the Philippines and South Africa, asking what public LGBTQ+ inclusion can tell investors about business quality. The pattern is striking. Companies with high levels of LGBTQ+ inclusion transparency are systematically larger and more capital-efficient, without a statistically significant profitability penalty. And the financial separation is concentrated at the top: comprehensive leadership, rather than incremental inclusion, is what distinguishes the strongest firms. In markets where the law is incomplete or still evolving, national champion companies are already setting the standard. Explore the five findings and read the full report.

What if you live to 100, but your money does not? Many people spend more time planning their next holiday than planning for a retirement that could last 30 years or more.
