Inspiration
When we started planning our MVP, we our target audience was mainly Singaporeans, and what better way to get to Singaporeans than food. Our team felt that creating a app which shows users hidden food gems near their place would not only encourage singaporeans to dabao food near their place (and support local hawkers) but also to bond with others over the shared joy of discovering others that like the same food as others.
What it does
Considering the development of Covid-19 in Singapore, we are now getting used to takeaway food. However, to encourage people to stay home while maintaining social ties, our team has decided to create a web application which allows users to share nearby hidden food gems with their friends and potentially others living near them. This allows friends to bond by sharing some of their favourite foods with each other.
How we built it
This app was created with typescript, React and Firebase.
Challenges we ran into
It was rather difficult to create pins to add to our maps.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to allows users to add pins onto their own maps and share it.
What we learned
That typescript is useful.
