Radioenlace Final
Seccional Tunja
Se plantea realizar un radioenlace entre dos lugares de Boyacá, la ciudad de Sogamoso y la vereda
de Tobasia-Floresta, para ello se hace uso del software de planificación de enlaces LINKPlanner y
el sistema de información Geográfica Google Earth.
Se empieza por encontrar la ubicación exacta de los dos lugares en los que se plantea hacer el
radioenlace, se traza la ruta y se extraen las coordenadas exactas para luego ser importadas en
LINKplanner.

Una vez se ingresa al programa LINKPlanner y se crea el enlace PTP con las coordenadas extraídas
de Google Earth se observa en la figura 1 que no existe línea de vista debido a que el sector
“Crecientes” a 11,34 km de la UPTC de Sogamoso presenta una zona montañosa, por tanto, se hace
necesario el uso de un repetidor dispuesto en este lugar para realizar el enlace deseado.
Se define la ubicación del repetidor en la zona más alta de la montaña y se ingresa a LINKPlanner
para realizar los dos enlaces punto a punto. El primero es de la UPTC-Sogamoso a el Repetidor, y el
segundo es del Repetidor a la vereda de Tobasia-Floresta.

El ancho de banda promedio deseado (MEAN IP), se obtiene que es de 65.48Mbps y el porcentaje
que indica el tiempo en el año en el cual estará habilitado el radioenlace (IP Avaliability), se obtiene
un 100% de disponibilidad de la conexión lo cual determina que la conexión será estable todo el
tiempo.

Finalmente, se realizan los cálculos teóricos de Radioenlace para determinar las perdidas en la
trayectoria de espacio libre, el margen de desvanecimiento y la ganancia del sistema partiendo de los
siguientes datos:
Distancia (D) = 11.340 km
Factor de Rugosidad (A) = 1 → Terreno Promedio
Factor para convertir la peor probabilidad mensual en una probabilidad anual (B) =0.5 → Para áreas
montañosas
Frecuencia (F) = 5.8 GHz
Exceso de perdida de trayecto (Lb) = 7.57 dB

Nota: Este último dato “Exceso de perdida de trayecto” se obtiene de la tabla “Climatic Factors,
Losses and Standards” extraída de los documentos exportados de LINKPlanner que se encuentra en
la sección de anexos.
Cabe resaltar que la ganancia del sistema obtenida de forma teórica coincide con los resultados
arrojados por el programa LINKPlanner, confirmado que los valores obtenidos son asertivos.
2. DE REPETIDOR A TOBASIA-FLORESTA:
Para el enlace PTP del Repetidor a Tobasia-Floresta se utiliza la misma configuración y antenas del
enlace punto a punto de UPTC-Sogamoso a Repetidor, con la antena del repetidor a una altura de 30
metros y la de Tobasia a 15 se garantiza la línea de vista. Estos parámetros dispuestos en LINKPlanner
se pueden observar en la siguiente imagen:

Una vez verificado que el enlace PTP es posible se procede a analizar los resultados:
Se obtiene que el ancho de banda promedio es mayor, equivalente a 124,38Mbps y de igual manera
hay una disponibilidad de conexión de 100%
Se puede notar, que la distancia entre el repetidor y Tobasia es menor, pues es de 5,519 Km con un
margen de ganancia del sistema de 28.03 dB. Las perdidas de ganancias totales son de 122.60 dBm
y estará deshabilitado tan solo un segundo cada año.

Se resalta la gran capacidad de transmisión que tiene este enlace superior a el deseado inicialmente,
confirmando la gran viabilidad que tiene esta conectividad punto a punto, de igual manera los factores
climáticos y demás datos se pueden encontrar en la sección de anexos. A continuación, la lista de
materiales para el diseño del enlace del receptor a la vereda de Tobasía que al poseer las mismas
características del enlace de uptc-sogamoso a repetidor, son básicamente los mismos
Para terminar, también se realizan los cálculos teóricos de Radioenlace para determinar las perdidas
en la trayectoria de espacio libre, el margen de desvanecimiento y la ganancia del sistema partiendo
de los siguientes datos:

CONCLUSIÓN:
La evidencia que presentamos anteriormente demuestra que es fundamental conocer las condiciones
geográficas al momento de hacer un proyecto de Radioenlace entre dos ubicaciones distintas, las
zonas montañosas presentes en la zona de Boyacá representan un gran reto para los ingenieros
electrónicos y telecomunicaciones al momento de realizar la conectividad, por tanto, se recalca la
importancia del uso de repetidores en estos lugares de gran altitud para realizar la conexión deseada.
También se demuestra que la elección de equipos y elementos a utilizar son sustanciales en la creación
de un radioenlace, pues en este proyecto se nota que las antenas integradas no tienen la suficiente

capacidad para suplir los requerimientos del sistema, por tal motivo se escoge el equipo PTP 450i en
el cual gracias a sus características es posible realizar el conexionado de una antena reflectora
parabólica de alto rendimiento de 2 pies, y llevar a cabo el enlace de forma correcta.

Perform the following checks during the installation (Check the deployment guide and the User Guide.)
1. Check with a GPS that you are installing at the correct location.
2. Check carefully the direction to the other end of the link. Either use a corrected compass or use the GPS
waypoint feature about 300 meters from the installation location.
3. When aligning antennas, it is important to find the centre of the main beam. This is done by adjusting the
antenna at each end of the link in turn and monitoring the receive level until the peak is found. Once the
peak level is found, it should be checked against the prediced receive power to ensure that the antennas
have not been aligned on a side lobe.
4. An hour after alignment is complete, check that the mean value for the Receive Power is as predicted
(see previous tables). Also check that it is not greater than -34dBm.
