to clarify that a new, billed, Linode will be created. On this new Linode, streisand.html is to be found.

looks OK to me for those who do not use their local machine as a starting point, contrary to the HOWTO.

the PullReq may be interesting for those who leapfrogged the first part and did not start from a local machine, but a Linode instead. Using a Linode is much safer since one does not have to allow to run a script as root on your private machine. Much safer to do this on a new Linode, where it cannot harm the local system. And it works just as well. Besides, very few people run a local Ubuntu 16.04 in October of 2019.

As it stands on https://deploy-preview-2806--nostalgic-ptolemy-b01ab8.netlify.com/networking/vpn/set-up-a-streisand-gateway/

I made the wording somewhat contradictory:
(Also: What is the point of starting with the local machine other than easier access to the "generated_docs" ? from a security perspective this may be a poor deal.)

"Once the new server is set up, users can connect to a gateway containing detailed, personalized instructions for connecting to each of these services. You can then later remove the old Linode (on which you started out) in order of having a lower bill."

but later:

All of the commands will be run from your local machine. You will, however, need the API key from your Linode account.
