Hero's Watch is an editor for pen-and-paper roleplay characters. The first target system will be "Das Schwarze Auge" ("The black eye", the german alternative to "Dungeons and Dragons"). Further game systems might follow. The main focus is to watch the rules of building a character and document the growth of experience and talents over time. This project began years ago when I decided to combine two of my hobbies into one; genealogy and Dungeons and Dragons. I enjoyed creating family trees for my characters, but I found it very laborious to come up with all of the dates I needed, so I sat down and wrote a little program to randomly generate birth and death dates for each of the Player’s Handbook races. I was always interested in making games, and I successfully modded another game but that is not what I want to do. I want to write my own game. So I made this as my first game. This is more of a challenge than anything else. It is just to see if I can develop a (hopefully fun)game written in only scripting languages. Right now it is called Monster Arena and when it is up and running it will be a gladiator style game where you fight monsters and return to the stalls to buy weapons, armor, etc. -
