    ESP8266 Deauther Version 2

    ESP8266 Deauther Version 2

Affordable WiFi hacking platform for testing and learning

Scan for WiFi devices, block selected connections, create dozens of networks and confuse WiFi scanners! Version 3 is in development. It is stable to use, but it is very different. It is command-line based, which allows it to offer not just more features, but make them more customizable. This software allows you to easily perform a variety of actions to test 802.11 wireless networks by using an inexpensive ESP8266 WiFi SoC (System On A Chip). The main feature, the deauthentication attack, is used to disconnect devices from their WiFi network. No one seems to care about this huge vulnerability in the official 802.11 WiFi standard, so I took action and enabled everyone who has less than 10 USD to spare to recreate this project. I hope it raises more attention on the issue. In 2009 the WiFi Alliance actually fixed the problem (see 802.11w), but only a few companies implemented it into their devices and software.

    Zappa - Serverless Python

    Zappa - Serverless Python

    Serverless Python

Zappa makes it super easy to build and deploy server-less, event-driven Python applications (including, but not limited to, WSGI web apps) on AWS Lambda + API Gateway. Think of it as "serverless" web hosting for your Python apps. That means infinite scaling, zero downtime, zero maintenance - and at a fraction of the cost of your current deployments! With a traditional HTTP server, the server is online 24/7, processing requests one by one as they come in. If the queue of incoming requests grows too large, some requests will time out. With Zappa, each request is given its own virtual HTTP "server" by Amazon API Gateway. AWS handles the horizontal scaling automatically, so no requests ever time out. Each request then calls your application from a memory cache in AWS Lambda and returns the response via Python's WSGI interface. After your app returns, the "server" dies.

    NetworkX

    NetworkX

    Network analysis in Python

NetworkX is a Python package for the creation, manipulation, and study of the structure, dynamics, and functions of complex networks. Data structures for graphs, digraphs, and multigraphs. Many standard graph algorithms. Network structure and analysis measures. Generators for classic graphs, random graphs, and synthetic networks. Nodes can be "anything" (e.g., text, images, XML records). Edges can hold arbitrary data (e.g., weights, time-series). Open source 3-clause BSD license. Well tested with over 90% code coverage. Additional benefits from Python include fast prototyping, easy to teach, and multi-platform. Find the shortest path between two nodes in an undirected graph. Python’s None object is not allowed to be used as a node. It determines whether optional function arguments have been assigned in many functions. And it can be used as a sentinel object meaning “not a node”.

    Watchdog

    Watchdog

Python library and shell utilities to monitor filesystem events

Python API library and shell utilities to monitor file system events. A simple program that uses watchdog to monitor directories specified as command-line arguments and logs events generated. Watchdog comes with an optional utility script called watchmedo. Please type watchmedo --help at the shell prompt to know more about this tool. You can use the shell-command subcommand to execute shell commands in response to events. watchmedo can read tricks.yaml files and execute tricks within them in response to file system events. Tricks are actually event handlers that subclass watchdog.tricks.Trick and are written by plugin authors. Trick classes are augmented with a few additional features that regular event handlers don't need. The directory containing the tricks.yaml file will be monitored. Each trick class is initialized with its corresponding keys in the tricks.yaml file as arguments and events are fed to an instance of this class as they arrive.

    systemd

    systemd

The systemd system and service manager

systemd is a suite of basic building blocks for a Linux system. It provides a system and service manager that runs as PID 1 and starts the rest of the system. systemd provides aggressive parallelization capabilities, uses socket and D-Bus activation for starting services, offers on-demand starting of daemons, keeps track of processes using Linux control groups, maintains mount and automount points, and implements an elaborate transactional dependency-based service control logic. systemd supports SysV and LSB init scripts and works as a replacement for sysvinit. Other parts include a logging daemon, utilities to control basic system configuration like the hostname, date, locale, maintain a list of logged-in users and running containers and virtual machines, system accounts, runtime directories and settings, and daemons to manage simple network configuration, network time synchronization, log forwarding, and name resolution.

    Jaeger

    Jaeger

Monitor and troubleshoot transactions in complex distributed systems

As on-the-ground microservice practitioners are quickly realizing, the majority of operational problems that arise when moving to a distributed architecture are ultimately grounded in two areas: networking and observability. It is simply an orders of magnitude larger problem to network and debug a set of intertwined distributed services versus a single monolithic application. Jaeger, inspired by Dapper and OpenZipkin, is a distributed tracing system released as open source by Uber Technologies. It is used for monitoring and troubleshooting microservices-based distributed systems. OpenTracing compatible data model and instrumentation libraries include Go, Java, Node, Python, C++ and C#. Jaeger uses consistent upfront sampling with individual per service/endpoint probabilities and it has multiple storage backends: Cassandra, Elasticsearch, memory.
