if you have the latest version (4.9.4.0) then while you are executing your =
code, the dev-c++ window should still be accessible, although, in some ol=
der versions, this was not possible i believe.
also, in response to the fact that someone could compile while a compiled e=
xecutable was running, i would be quite scared also. but please note, i f=
ind that dev-c++ starts to comiple in this case and runs the makefile com=
piler linker etc... but eventually gives the "permission denied" message =
instead of "compilation succesful" and no new executable is produced.

This is not my case, when I am running it I can see Dev. A couple of times =
I got
frightened because I did not close the application and it did not compile, =
just
because it was running and the app could not be modified.
