Hi *, I've been playing around today with MinGW 2.0.0 (gcc 3.2) and I've found that exe files are really bigger than the ones produced by MinGW 1.1 (gcc 2.95.3). Build Time: File Size: Exe File: 17/05/2002 18:30 6.656 NetCmd1.exe 01/10/2002 18:13 53.248 NetCmd2.exe I've tried with an old project (fully functional, no new code since some months), so source code is the same. Object files have been rebuild for the new version. Makefile is almost the same (except lib & include paths for each version), and CFLAGS from both makefiles is: CFLAGS = $(INCLUDE_DIRS) -fexceptions -s -O3 So... Why the increment? Any hints here?
