[Dev-C++] I need some decent GUI libraries for Windows and Linux

First, I'm a newbie in C++ programming but I'm a fan
of Open Source, LGPL'ed software.
So, I installed Dev-C++ 4 (latest stable), the
wxWindows libraries and 2 or 3 tutorials about
wxWindows. This tutorials looks great, but I'm totally
confused about how can I have a decent GUI toolkit.
In this moment, I'm ready to receive any
recommendation, tutorial, paper etc. about how to
install a GUI library for Windows and Linux with
Dev-C++, with ONE condition: this material must be
EXPLICIT and with a little example.
Could anyone give me a hand of help?
