Thanks for your reply. Actually I am using Dev-Cpp 4.9.7.4 under windows. I just call it a = tarball because the filename on the Mingw WebPages are = gdb-5.2.1-20021009.tar.gz, I think I read somewhere that that called a tarball but of cause I could easily be wrong. But anyway thanks for your thoughts I will try to = unpack all files in the 20021009.tar.gz. Btw, your English is fine by my standards, but then again I'am Danish = :) Lars-Bo -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Ricardo Amores Hern=E1ndez [mailto:ri...@te...]=20 Sendt: 31. januar 2003 14:31 Til: Dev-Cpp-Users Emne: Re: [Dev-C++] Newbie on gdb again Hola Lars-Bo Jacobsen, First of all, hi everybody, I=B4m new to this list, and I hope I can give you any help. I also want to apologize for my poor english, as = I=B4m Spanish. Any correcti=F3n about my spelling / grammar / correct using = of english in general, will be aprreciated. (In such case, please reply to = my email, for not disturbing anyone from this list. Thanks :) =09 And now let=B4s back to work: =09 I don=B4t think that copying the files from the .TAR file will cause you a problem. When I use Dev-C++ 4, I downloaded a new version for GDB which had a GUI (I don=B4t like very much, command-line debuggin :-) = That versi=F3n was for windows (I suppose you are using linux or a = unix-based system, as you mention tar files)=20 That is the version I keep using even with Dev 5, and I decompress that zip file in my dev-cpp directory. It overwrites gdb.exe and some = other libreries, and it work frawless (by now :) =09 However, if you aren=B4t sure, there always be the posibility of back up the Dev-Cpp directory, and then, installing gdb :) =09 Hope this helped you. =09 =09 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D At 2003-01-31, 13:47:00 you wrote: = =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D >Hi all > >So, no one answered my question on gdp yesterday, so this newbie has = to try >by him self.
