Re: [Dev-C++] Hi,

Ok... first .h files are header, not lib files...
to include a header, it doesn't matter within which subdirectory of
"include" it is, all you have to do is: #include <headername.h> it doesn'=
t
need the path, as long as it's within a subdirectory, If I'm not mistaken=
,
the difference between using " and < when in #include statments is that, =
<
will look for subdirectories...

Also as for lib files, they're under your lib directory and are named lik=
e
libblah.a so to include a file called like that you go to: Project >>
Project Options and under "Further Object files..." type in -llibname...
sorta like, let's say you wante dot include "libwsock32.a" you'd type in:
"-lwsock32"

Hope this helps you out...

I am having problems using external libraries with Dev-C++.I put the libr=
ary
files in the Dev-C++ include directory (under a lvp subdirectory) and the=
n
put the following preprocessor directive statement

        #include <lvp\string.h>

in my source program. When I try to compile and run the program it gives=
 me
errors and locks up the compiler. Help!
