It's a common problem: the C++ standard is changed and so your program, as
most of those learned by students, is incorrect. The actual C++ standard
library, as described in Stroustrup 3rd edition, has the following
form for an hello-world program:
#include <iostream>
int main() {
std::cout << "Hello world!" << std::endl;
}
The old library is still present, but in a backward compatibility
directory that is not guaranteed to be supported in future.
Bye, Ferdinando
